Chapter 42

Jerome

       Saturday came, which meant it was the day to vote who was going to be eliminated. I already knew it was going to be me. If everyone voted for who I thought they would, it would be four votes for me and three for Lynn.

       It was really going to suck being the first one gone, but at least I knew they were going to leave Nolan alone, thinking he wasn't a strong competitor. Trust me, if the challenge was a puzzle of some sort, Nolan was going to wipe the floor with everyone.

       He was still thinking very little of himself. He didn't think he was going to get far in the competition after the first two challenges, but that was only because they just so happened to be his weakness.

       We were both in the bedroom we were staying in, waiting to be called down to reveal who was being eliminated. Everyone who was voting already told Lucy who they wanted to be eliminated, and now we had to wait for a certain time for it to be revealed.

       Nolan was sitting on the bed, looking very upset. I sighed and sat down beside him. "Nolan, you have to remember this is just a game," I said. "So I didn't do so well. You still have a chance to win this thing."

       "No, I don't," Nolan said. "I'm not the most physically active person. If the rest of the challenges are like the two we have already done, I'm very much screwed."

       "Not really," I said. "If you lose the challenges, nobody is going to want to vote you up because they're going to think you're not a threat. I told you this before."

       "I know," Nolan said. "It just sucks that you're getting eliminated the very first week."

       "At least I'll still be here," I said. "I just won't be participating in the challenges, but I'll be in the sidelines cheering you on."

       Lucy's voice appeared on the intercom, telling everyone to meet in the living room. I got off of the bed and so did Nolan.

       I then pulled him into a hug. "You will do amazing in this competition, okay?" I said. "You just have to believe in yourself, because I certainly do." Nolan nodded, and I kissed his forehead before we left the room and headed to the living room.

       Once everyone was there sitting down, Lucy stood in the front. "I've got to say, the very first week was already filled with a lot of drama and surprises," Lucy said. "Now, I'm sure you're all wanting to know who got eliminated so here it goes. It was a very close call, with three votes to one person and four votes for the other. With four votes, the first person eliminated from this competition is....Lynn."

       Wait, what?

       "Huh? But....It was obvious Jerome was going to be the first one gone," Dirk said. "Cheryl, Bessie, Paula, and Gilbert for Jerome, and Nolan, Millie, and Fitz for Lynn."

       "That may be what you thought it would be, but that was not the final result," Lucy said. Even I thought that was how it was going to be. 

       "Unbelievable," Dirk said before leaving the living room with Cheryl following after him.

       "Congratulations, Jerome, you are still in the competition," Lucy said. "You can all disperse now and remember, tomorrow you'll be allowed to use your electronics, but you will not be allowed to say anything about how the competition is going. And Monday, I'll reveal who the fan favourite is for the week once the voting goes through."

       Everyone dispersed just then, mostly heading up the stairs. I grabbed Nolan's hand and led him to the hammock in the backyard. It was our favourite spot to be since it was so comfortable, and very peaceful outside.

       "I'm really happy you're still in the competition," Nolan said once we were both laying on the hammock.

       "Yeah, me too," I said. "I'm confused about it though. The people Dirk said is the exact same people I thought would have voted for each person. I wondered who voted against Lynn."

       "I did," a voice came and I looked over to see Gilbert and Lynn standing nearby.

       I furrowed my eyebrows. "You voted not only against your partner, but your sister?"

       "Yep," Gilbert said. "It was her idea."

       "Why?" I asked.

       "Oh, we're not really competitive people, so we don't really care about winning," Lynn said. "We just thought it would be fun coming here, but as soon as we saw who else was here, the only thing we want is for Dirk and Cheryl to lose."

       "And keeping me in will make them lose?" I asked.

       "Uh, yeah," Lynn said. "You're their biggest competition. Not only that, but right now, Dirk and Cheryl are arguing with Paula and Bessie. They would never think that my brother would vote against me, so Dirk and Cheryl are so determined that either Paula or Bessie did, which tears apart their team."

       "Yeah, Dirk and Cheryl are only strong if they have Paula and Bessie teamed up with them," Gilbert said. "If they don't, they'll rarely have the majority votes because no one is going to want to side with them."

       "That's....very smart," I said. "You sure they're arguing right now?"

       Gilbert nodded. "Before we came out here, we saw Paula and Bessie quickly go to where Dirk and Cheryl did. And speaking of, we should probably leave before any of them realize it was me who voted against Lynn. As long as they think I voted against you, the four of them aren't going to team up."

I think everyone just wants Dirk and Cheryl to lose now lol. Who cares about winning when you could make Dirk lose? cx

I was playing with the Prince-Roys on Sims 3 all day and omg (in case you didn't see my snaps about it) Nolan suddenly got famous, and then Jerome did, and then all of their kids, and now Kingsley is the most famous and someone spread a rumor about one of their daughters saying she got arrested EVEN THOUGH SHE DIDN'T. (so we sued those people and won)

And omg, the sims are automatically assuming Kingsley is gay just because his dads are. He keeps getting asked out by guys, BUT HE'S STRAIGHT. (he's actually having a thing with the sister of a guy that asked him out oops)
