I unwillingly dropped off the van, Micah's scared face still imprinted in my head, it hurt my heart to think that she was so scared and none of us payed any attention to her. My eyes widened, the sound of a gun going off sounded in my head along with Micah's voice shouting Xiumins name.
I spun around and my eyes fell on a small figure lying on their side. I raced over and skidded to desperate stop a metre past him. I jumped to his hide and crouched down, putting a hand on his shoulder, taking a deep breath before looking down at his face.
His eyes were closed. My face automatically fell and I was about to look away when his eyes snapped open, he gasped and started breathing in ragged breaths.
I laughed in wild relief that he was ok, but how did Gabriel miss? His clan was trained to never miss, but yet- here Xiumin was.
"Where are you hurt?" I asked and frantically searched his body as he sat up.
"He got my leg." Xiumin gasped out.
My eyes travelled down his leg, stopping on a bullet wound. I pressed my lips together, looking back at the house. There was no way he could make it back by foot. If so- it would very painful and a long walk.
"uhm-" I broke off with a small startled scream as Kai suddenly appeared out of no where, in a cloud of black smoke.
"oh my gosh, you scared me." I gasped. Alittle embarrassed about my scream.
Kai was facing forward, but then his eyes looked at me. They were cold and angry, my smile slowly faded from my face.
"what-"
"how can you joke about something!?" He yelled, silencing me in a split second,
"Micah has just been god damn taken! And we're standing here laughing while she's probably scared to death!" He threw his hands up in the air and let them fall heavily to his sides.
"Micah's strong, she won't give up-" Xiumin began.
"Yeah she might not give up at first, but look what we are doing now," Kai interrupted "nothing"
Xiumin and I glanced at each other, Xiumin went to stand up but fell back down when his leg gave way. Kai's eyes automatically softened at the sight. He moved closer and helped Xiumin up, slinging his arm over his own shoulders.
"come on let's get you to Lay." Kai muttered.
I grabbed hold of Kai's free wrist and he closed his eyes, and then we were in front of our house. He opened his eyes that were bright with determination but a spark of anger was still present. It didn't fade as he began walking to the front door supporting Xiuimin the whole way.
I sighed and turned around. I looked sadly at the dark road which the van had sped down, containing the girl that we had learned to treasure.
