7- Tick Tock

The guy was still out, but gradually coming back. He was lying face up on the couch, his brown hair had fallen forward at some point and covered one of his eyes. Hesitantly, I slowly reached down and gently moved it away.

"is that really Daehyun? What's he doing here?" Yukwon muttered.

'Daehyun'? Was that his name?

"I don't know." Jaehyo said from his spot standing beside the couch where Minhyuk was sitting. The confusion was written all over his face and layered in his voice. "Micah said that he just appeared at the door asking for Suho, right?"

"yeah and then he fainted" I said and sat down on the edge of the couch beside Daehyun. I looked a him and narrowed my eyes when I saw a line of blood coming from under the hair covering his face. Confused, I slowly pushed his soft hair completely off his forehead to reveal a deep cut just to the right side of his forehead.

"Jaehyo." I reached out and tugged on his shirt.

He turned back to me from talking to Yukwon and his eyes found the slash on Daehyuns forehead, he crouched down beside his head and inspected it. After giving it a good inspection he sighed and let his hand fall onto his knee.

"we need Lay." He muttered.

"Lay?" I repeated "why?"

"Lay's power is to heal." Yukwon spoke up from the other couch.

"what?" I spoke up "if his power is to heal, why didn't he heal me when I got bitten by that hybrid?" My voice, It was meant to sound angry and annoyed but it just sounded confused.

"his power doesn't work towards injuries caused by a hybrid,"
Minhyuk showed a small grim smile "sadly"

Daehyun mumbled in his sleep and rolled to face us, his arm slipped around my waist and his hand rested on my hip. I jerked up straight in shock and looked at his sleeping face with wide eyes, then over at the boys.
They just smirked at me, Yukwon winked.

"are you going to do anything about that?" Jaehyo chuckled.
I gave him a look that shut him up instantly.

Daehyun mumbled the name again, as I listened closer I made out the sound ' Youngjae '
Yukwon and Minhyuk both leaned forward and Jaehyos eyebrows rose.

"Youngjae?" Jaehyo repeated "Is he here too?"

"Youngjae? Is he Daehyuns friend?" I asked.

"They're from the clan 'Unbreakable' and they're Hunter partners, so Youngjae must be here somewhere." Minhyuk answered me.

"okay, we need Lay and Youngjae now." Jaehyo said quietly.

"they won't be back for a few hours and I'm not sure Daehyun can go for that long." He continued.

"is his injury that serious?" I asked "its just a gash on the head"

"yeah, from a poisoned blade" Jaehyo scoffed.

"well, why didn't you say that before?" I snapped and Jaehyo shrugged.

"I guess I'll go get them."
I said and stood up, causing Daehyun's arm to slide away from my waist and for him to wake with a start.

"what-" Daehyun broke off and pressed the heel of his palm to his bleeding forehead with a hiss of pain through his white, straight clenched teeth.

I knelt down beside him, he opened his eyes as I put my hand to the one pressed up against his cut. He looked at me in wonder as I slowly removed his hand and moved the hair gently away from the cut to check the wound.
He blinked slowly and watched me through staring eyes, I kept my attention on his cut and tilted my head side wards to get better views, Jaehyo was right, it was defiantly poisoned. I sighed and stood up, Daehyuns eyes stayed on mine but I looked elsewhere.
