My feet dragged along the ground, leaving trails in the snow as I mumbled under my breath how much of a stupid Idiot everyone, everything, was. How much I hated that tree to my right, how much that rock over there annoyed me.
I was walking a couple metres behind the three boys, staring at the ground and glancing up at them every now and then. One time I looked up and Kyuhyun was looking back at me, he had mouthed 'are you ok?' I just nodded and looked back down.
He turned back around after that and I didn't look up for a while, not wanting to meet another set of eyes and get asked the same question.
'Are you ok?'
People never used to ask me that. Well, except when my mum died, everyone asked me that question, everyone offered to help me with the smallest task and everyone gave me the same sad look. It all stopped about a year after her death, when I started to hold my head up high and walk with confidence and not giving a care in the world to what people thought of me.
But it was starting again, right now, the are you ok's' and the look, that one look, that sent my anger levels to the moon.
I hated being pitied.
My eyes landed on a small rock and on a state of rage I kicked it, pretty hard too. Satisfaction warmed my body, a small smile broke out across my face, and the smile got bigger when I heard a small shout of pain from Sungmin.
"Kyuhyun!" he wailed "She threw a rock at me!"
"actually, I didn't throw it, I kicked it" I sent him a smile
"looks like she's back to her normal self" Kyuhyun muttered and continued walking.
L.joe snorted and followed him, Sungmin, after rubbing the back of his leg, followed suit.
I sighed and followed them I didn't have any other choice. After a while my left hand latched onto my right arm and held it tight. I rolled back my stiff shoulders and glanced around warily at our surroundings.
There wasn't much to look at though, in every direction was just trees, snow, trees and some more trees.
I jumped in surprise when a hand was dropped onto my shoulder, getting ready to yell at Kyuhyun I looked up, but was taken aback when I saw L.Joe walking beside me. He was looking at me with questioning eyes, he gave me a small smile and I returned it, pushing my loose hair behind my ear.
"L.Joe?" I said after a while.
"hm?" He turned his head to look at me, his hair falling across one of his eyes.
"back at the house, what did you mean by 'the others are asleep in their rooms'?" I asked him.
To my surprise he laughed, startled, Kyuhyun and Sungmin turned around.
"sorry" he called and they turned back around.
"I knocked them out, put a sleeping drug in their drinks. Except one of them," L.joe said whilst looking at the ground "when I was pretending to be part of their clan I actually grew close to a certain one, I told him not to drink it and told him to run." he looked up and met my gaze.
L.Joe sighed "he looked so scared, he told me he wanted to stay but I said go. And he did, I don't know where, but he did," he turned his gaze forward and a small smile took over his lips "his name was Chunji "A smile of my own unconsciously appeared, then after a moment it left.
How were my boys? Were Tao and Xiumin ok? Are they looking for me? Do they miss me? Do they even notice that I'm not there?
I closed my eyes and sighed sadly, my hair blew around my face in the soft breeze, falling across my right eye so when I opened it I couldn't see. I fixed my eyes on the trees past Sungmin and Kyuhyuns heads.
