As it turns out, yung potato and beets salad na kasama ng party platter na dala ni Artie last night had crab meat in it. I'm allergic to crab and lobster meat. Malala pa, sabi ni Doctora, my body may have reacted worse because of the whiskey in my system, so pagkain ko ng crab meat, hello-emergency-room.

It was almost 2:30am when I got discharged from the ER by the Doctor, hinintay pa kasi yung urine test results to determine if I'm in the clear. She warned me to be careful and to always check the food I was eating. May prescription siya with regards to the skin irritation pero everything else was covered by the injection they gave me sa ER earlier.

When I woke up, the clock was at 10:20. Looks like Joaquin is still asleep. Sayang, we're in separate beds, ang sarap sana maglambing na tabihan niya ako last night but that was impossible. Pagbigyan kaya niya ako if I asked na tabihan niya ako last night? Oh well.

I slowly got up so as not to wake him and washed up before ako bumaba. When I got downstairs, ako pa lang yata ang gising. Sabagay, the guys were still drinking last night pagbalik namin. They had a few other friends over that were staying at another villa sa Tali. At least I never embarrassed myself in front of the guests by having the allergy attack with them there.

I open the fridge and decide na magluto na in case the guys wake up. At this rate, lunch will be a bit late but worth it.

But first: coffee.

Hindi naman mahirap i-figure out ang kitchen ng Villa nila Joaquin. The pantry is decently stocked, and I was able to find coffee grounds, so nag-brew muna ako ng coffee. While the coffee was brewing, I checked on the beef that I marinated when we arrived. Mukhang okay na siya.

Artie: May I have some of that coffee?

Lumingon ako sa pagkaharap ko sa loob ng fridge. It was Artie.

Me: Hey, good morning. Yeah, I think it's gonna be done in a bit.

Artie: How are you na?

Me: I'm okay.

I look for two mugs and proceed to the coffee maker. I pour us some coffee and serve it to him sa counter ng kitchen. May nakita akong glass tray na may canisters for the sugar and creamer, kinuha ko yon at nilagay sa counter.

Me: How do you want your coffee?

Artie: Let me do it. Ikaw? Cream and sugar?

Me: Yes, please.

Artie: 2 creams, 2 sugars?

I nod my head. While tinitimpla ni Artie yung coffee namin, I noticed he was just wearing a striped tank top and one of those tight fitting boxer briefs. The boxers don't look local, by the way and I like the teal blue color.

*Don't look. Don't look. Don't look.*

Artie: You gave us quite a scare last night ha.

Me: Sorry.

Artie: No, sorry. It was my fault. Hindi ko nasabi na crab meat pala yung nasa potato salad. We usually order that kasi from a restaurant sa Tagaytay. I didn't know that you were allergic.

Me: Yeah, uh, if it's crab and lobster meat, hindi talaga ako puwede. I can eat bagoong though. Strange enough yun lang ang nakakakin ko from that food group. And it's nobody's fault naman, I never told you guys what I'm allergic to.

Artie: So, all seafood bawal ka?

Me: Fish, I'm okay. Pero yung crustaceans, especially crab meat, no way.

Artie: Grabe ka, Dude. One minute you were okay, the next nag hyper-ventilate ka na and you were red and namamaga all over.

Me: Bad mix daw sabi ni Doctora yung whiskey at crab meat.
