Luke

The phone died.
"Lukas," a voice said behind me. "Wir sprechen deutsch."
We speak German.
Gosh darn it. My plan failed. Miserably.
Jenni put a hand on my back.
"We are in Austria, after all."
Austria. The country I grew up in.
Jenni glanced at my hand. "Where did you get that phone, Lukas?" She asked.
I threw the phone at her face and took off running.
"HEY!" I heard Jenni scream. I threw a bolt of lightning at the door and half of the wall exploded.
Well, better than nothing.
I had to find Bronwyn. I had no clue where she was, but I would find her. I could hear footsteps coming towards me. Guards.
I glanced over my shoulder and ran smack dab into a Hollow. I shot a ball of lightning at its face. It fell backwards, and I ran the other way, into a group of guards. I touched one of them and the caught fire, and he began running around screaming. I grabbed his dropped gun.
"Don't shoot, or you'll end up like your buddy over there," I threatened.
They let me pass, but as I was running past, my shoulder began to burn. Somebody must've shot me in the shoulder. It hurt so badly it took the breath out of me. I didn't know if I could keep running.
Then I remembered Bronwyn, and I picked up the pace.
Alarms began going off. I was getting tired, and the bullet wound wasn't helping.
I heard footsteps to my right, so I darted down the left hallway. There was a door at the end. I threw it open and stumbled down the stairs.
This must be the cellar.
It was dark at the bottom and smelled like rot. I summoned a ball of electricity in my hand so I could see. I heard a bang, and a bullet whistled just past my head.
I could see where the guard was standing.
I shot some lightning at his chest, and he fell to the ground.
I took the ring of keys from his pocket. I unlocked Bronwyn first, then Andrea.
Bronwyn saw my wound. "You're injured," she remarked. "I'll have to treat that soon."
Andrea looked at me like I was inhuman. "You just killed him, Luke!" She cried.
I had killed two men tonight. I had became a murderer. The thought made me want to vomit.
"Let's get out of here," I whispered.
We ran up the stairs. "Everyone look for an exit!" Bronwyn ordered.
We ran down the hallway, which was filled with guards. I thrust my gun into Andrea's hands. "Protect yourself."
Bullets were flying.
The pain in my arm had become unbearable.
I managed to take another bullet to the leg.
I cried out in pain.
Bronwyn used all of her strength to throw those who tried to attack us into the wall. They were knocked unconscious, maybe even dead.
I helped her by throwing balls of electricity left and right. I was getting low on energy. Andrea was holding her gun, but not firing it.
We eventually made our way to a door. We entered, and Bronwyn pushed a dresser against the door to buy us some time.
There was a window. Andrea threw it open and began to climb out of it. There was a bed in the room. I limped over to it.
A girl lay in it. She couldn't have been more than ten. Her caramel hair was spread out on the pillow. She had baby doll features, and in a way she reminded me of Claire.
The dresser crashed forwards. Bronwyn and Andrea were outside.
Guards flooded the room.
I struggled to get out the window and ended up half falling out of it. Bronwyn helped me to my feet.
I gladly welcomed the sight of the capital of Austria in the distance.
We half ran, half limped towards it.
