Guren's POV

3 days. She has been gone for 3 days and I have no clue where she is!

In the time span of those 3 days, I have managed to do a lot of research as well as going everywhere in the city. But still, nothing.

Not to mention, Ren has been taking this hard as well. He has basically locked himself in his room. He hasn't gone to any of is classes, he hasn't eaten, and he hasn't talked to anyone.

So, the only thing I can do, is find her. I have to find (Y/N).

It's really only a matter of time before she's killed.

As I'm working away on trying to find (Y/N), I hear a knock at my door.

"Guren. Can I come in?" I hear Shinya's  voice on the other side of the door.

"I'm kind of busy." But, apparently, no matter my protest, anything seems to mean 'come in' to Shinya.

He closed the door behind him, and what he had in his hands caught my eye.

"Geez, I'm sure you would have let me in right away if you knew I had alcohol." Said Shinya as he watched my eye the bottle in his hand. Shinya rolled his eyes before continuing. "Don't worry. I came prepared to share."

Even though I had my desires, it took everything I had to look away. I don't have time to drink. I have to find (Y/N).

Shinya sighed. He walked over and poured the alcoholic beverage into two glasses that he had brought with him.

"Look. Shinya, I don't want-"

"Everyone has to take a break sometimes." He interrupted me, handing me one of the filled glasses.

I was hesitant, but as soon as my tongue made contact with the fiery liquid, I downed all of it in one go.

Shinya chuckled as he sat down in one of the chairs across from my desk.

I sighed. "Okay, maybe I needed that. But now, I have to get back to work!"

"I'll help." I nodded, excepting Shinya's help.

We both heard another knock at my door. Both Shinya and I were surprised to see Ren walk in.

His eyes looked bloodshot and there were purple bags under them. Not to mention how pale he looked. But I'm pretty sure I don't look any better.

"Matsuki thinks she might know where (Y/N) is." Those were words I was definitely not expecting to hear.

Shinya smiled. "Does she mind telling us?" He asked.

Ren nodded and pulled out the dagger that held Matsuki.

And, slowly but surely, Matsuki appeared.

"Well? Got anything?" I asked, kind of impatiently.

"I can't stay out for long. I might start corrupting Ren again. Because of this, I don't have the time to explain. So, I'll give you a clue towards the person who can help you."

Great. I feel like this is a child's story. A riddle? Oh come on. I rolled my eyes and went along with it anyways, however reluctant.

"These four words are your clue: The edge of dawn." And with that, Matsuki vanished once more.

"Huh. That was rather easy." Said Shinya.

Both Ren and I turned to him. "Don't tell me you already figured it out!" I spoke up.

"Couldn't she have just said his name and where to find him?" Asked Shinya.

Ren giggled a little when he answered. "Well, one of Matsuki's favorite things was to tell riddles."

"Anyways. Care to tell us the answer?" I asked.

"Oh yeah. I think she's talking about Akatsuki. He's an info-broker that lives near the gate. I came to this conclusion because Akatsuki means dawn, and he lives at the edge of the JIDA HQ."

Ren and I looked at each other, and I could tell we were thinking the same thing.

How does this guy know so much?

"Well, we know where we're headed." I said standing from my seat.

The other two nodded.

Hang on, (Y/N), we're coming for you. Just hang on.
