Dessert was made more interesting by Castiel and Demina's bantering and sarcastic comments to each other. They kept Jaxon and Avelyn thoroughly entertained. Dinner was over with soon after dessert as they finished up and conversation waned. Castiel excused himself and Jaxon and Avelyn left to take a walk in the garden. Demina quietly got up from her seat and started to clean up the table. The conversation about Drax had really unnerved her but she shook off her feeling and kept her mind on her task.

"AHHHH!"

Demina jumped at the sudden shout. She tried to hide her smile and look innocent when Castiel came into the dining room, dripping wet.

"Prince Castiel! What happened to you?" Demi asked.

Castiel would have none of it.

"As if you don't know!" he snapped. His dark eyes flashed with barely held back anger. Demi shrugged and finally allowed herself to grin.

"I'm certain I don't know what you mean, my lord."

"I'M WET!"

Demi smirked and rolled her eyes.

"I can see that," she said, sweetly, "Would you like me to send for a towel?"

Castiel shook his head, storming over to her and getting in her face.

"What I would like to know is how you managed to lift that bucket so high. Did you use a stool? A step ladder?"

Demina glared at him. She hated people making fun of her height. Counting to ten, she looked into Castiel's angry scowl.

"As I already told you, my lord, I don't know what you're talking about," she answered as calmly as possible.

"Fine!" Castiel said, "If that's the way you want it to be..."

He coolly took the pitcher of water off the table and poured it on her head. Demina's eyes widened and her mouth fell open as water dripped down her face. Castiel smirked, crossing his arms.

"Not so fun being on the receiving end now is it?"

Demina closed her mouth, all thought of controlling her temper gone. Fire leapt into her brown eyes and she punched Castiel.

"You IDIOT! And I didn't put water in your room. I didn't get you wet!"

 "Oh, yeah? Then who did?!"

"That would've been Avelyn and I," Jaxon said, interrupting them. He and Avelyn had watched the whole exchange with equal amounts of amusement and concern. Jaxon grinned and turned to Avelyn, "I can see our plan worked out quite well. Wouldn't you say, Ava?"

Castiel and Demina turned livid gazes onto the pair. The desire for retribution gleamed in their eyes as they grabbed the leftover water pitchers. They strode towards Jaxon and Avelyn. Jaxon smiled nervously, putting his hands up and backing away.

"Oh, come, Cas. You know it was only a joke...right?"

"Of course, Jax. As is this."

Demina smirked as Jaxon turned and fled, Castiel close on his heels. She turned to Avelyn and grinned, pitcher still in hand. Avelyn eyed her warily.

"Demi, what are you doing? Demi? Demina?! Demi, NO!"
