CHAPTER FOURTEEN
~ One Week Later ~
"Alright, let's go report to Tsunade." Sasuke says as soon as we'd walked through the village from a B ranked mission with Jugo and Kiba. Kiba left on his own, but the three of us walked through the village, rather slowly from exhaustion.
One week had passed since my date with Sasuke, and things were going uphill from there. Tsunade has now allowed my team and I to go on missions, but Karin usually stayed in the hospital with Sakura.
Itachi usually worked with Kakashi whenever he needed it, and they had become close friends, which I was happy about. He also went on anbu missions, because for some reason, Tsunade trusted him much more than she trusted me or my team, but he was older and more mature, so I understood.
My team and I were promoted to jounin, which pisses Sasuke off because he was still only a chunin, and my team and I hadn't even taken any tests. However, even though we were promoted to jounin, we only usually do C or B ranked missions, and never too long. With the word of war, Tsunade was trying to keep as many of the higher ranked ninja in the village as possible, or at least as close as possible.
I'd been zoned out the entire time we were walking through because I was so tired. Like I'd said before, Sasuke, Jugo, Kiba, and I were on a mission, a B ranked one, to do a little spying. Kiba's loud ass mouth and his stupid mutt got us caught while we were doing some info collection in the sound village, so we were chased out, but not without a fight. Long story short, I've got three new bodies on my list, and Jugo two.
"Hello Sasuke, Jugo, (Y/n). I assume you're here for your mission report?" I hear Tsunade say, bringing me out of my own mind. Sasuke had walked me all the way there. Sasuke nodded his head and spoke for the team.
"Yes. We didn't get anything because of Kiba. None of us were hurt, but (Y/n) and Jugo did have to kill five sound ninja." Sasuke explained to Tsunade. She scribbled down what he was saying as quickly as he was saying it, but her pen froze a couple of seconds later before she looked at me with narrowed eyes.
"Was it absolutely necessary, you or them?" Tsunade asks, her grip on her pen tightening in the slightest.
"It was. We wouldn't have been able to get away from them if we hadn't fought." I reply. Tsunade exhales heavily before relaxing her face and finishes scribbling down the last of the mission report.
"And you're sure they were dead?" She asked as she laid her pen down on the desk. Before I could speak, Sasuke nodded his head and confirmed her question.
"I burned the bodies myself, so I do believe so." Sasuke said, his face completely serious, but I was smirking slightly. Sasuke hated killing people, and I found it funny. He was in the wrong line of work if he couldn't bare killing people.
"Alright then. I've got one last mission for the two of you. Very easy, very quick D ranked mission that just so happened to be one of the last of the stack, and you two just so happened to come in at the right time. Mr. Shimji is in need of help with his front yard and needs the weeds pulled and the dirt turned. After that, you can go home and rest." Tsunade explained as she handed Sasuke the paper with the details of the mission. I grunted lightly and crossed my arms over my chest. I was tired, hungry, and in need of a shower, and I definitely didn't want to do a child's mission.
"Why in the hell cant a damn genin-" I start, my voice coming out as a muttered growl, but before I could finish my small rant to Tsunade, Sasuke placed his hand over my mouth quickly.
"Yes, Lady Tsunade." Sasuke said. I quickly opened my mouth and chomped down on his hand, causing him to jerk it back and almost knock into the people coming into the room. When I seen who it was, my shoulders fell slightly and I could already feel his smart ass comment coming.
