CHAPTER SIXTEEN

Sasuke didn't dare to disobey me because of the level of ferocity my voice was reaching. Instead, he opted for a look that was pleading me not to fight him alone, but I completely ignored it. Sasuke's face fell in defeat as he gently picked Jugo's body up from the ground and raced across the battlefield to drop Jugo off, then flashed back and started barking orders at the other shinobi.

"You're going to die here, by my hands!" I yelled suddenly, all of my clones charging at the massive blue figure.

"Well, we'll have to see about that, won't we?" Madara called down to me before chuckling lightly. My clones were throwing attacks, dodging attack, and absorbing attacks, wearing away slowly at the large blue warrior, until it was nothing. Madara quickly fell from the sky, but on his way down, he preformed familiar hand seals.

"Fire Style: grand fireball jutsu!" Madara yelled. My eyes widened in panic as my head snapped around to the other shinobi behind me. They weren't far enough away. I could do an ice jutsu to waver it, but it wasn't going to stop it all. Suddenly, pure instinct took over my body. Demonic instinct.

"GAARA!" I screamed behind me, not knowing where the red headed Kazekage was, but I knew he'd hear me. I suddenly spotted a massive wave of sand soaring through the air forming a wall behind me, protecting the other ninja.

"Ice style: Crystal ice barrier!" I yelled after performing a series of my own hand seals, making thick, massive wall of ice. When the fire hit, it was known. My ice barrier was melted through quickly, but I wasn't terribly burned, maybe first degree, but other than my clothes being singed around the edges, I was fine, but of course, the air freezes around my entire body. Gaara's sand however, now looked charred, black, but the fire hadn't gone through. I sighed in relief as the barrier was lowered, only to be met with a smirking red head. Gaara had a plan, and I quickly caught on as I watched his sand caress my face, then dart forward to Madara. A diversion.

Madara leaped around in circles avoiding Gaara's sand, but the sand wasn't fast enough, I'd have to knock him into it. I drew my katana and charged at Madara and made a massive swing at him, causing him to jump to the left toward the sand, but he seen it and jumped farther back, right into Gaara's trap. Sand quickly encased Madara's body, so I quickly enforced the element with ice, making it completely solid. Once Madara was unable to move, the only part of him showing was his head, I sheathed my katana and placed my hands on my knees. I was exhausted and I still had two Kages to gain control over, and most likely people to revive.

"Why are you fighting for them? They killed your sister, didn't they?" Madara asked suddenly, causing me to pick my head up to look at him. Just the sight of his smug grin caused my hair to raise a bit higher in the frigid air surrounding me.

"Shut up." I growled lowly while still attempting to suck in as much oxygen as I could. It was getting harder and harder to keep going in my demon form, and on top of that, I still had my hell curse mark loose.

"But why? You know that I am only speaking the truth. Don't you want your revenge?" Madara questioned, and it almost sounded sarcastic. His smug smirk remained on his face, but I could tell that he knew he'd lost. He wouldn't be stalling right now if he knew he had a way out.

"I said shut up." I said a bit louder, now standing fully erect with my fists clenched at my sides. Gaara watched with wide eyes as he took a step back, probably trying to get away from the crackling chakra that was building up around me again.

"She suffered because of them, especially Danzo. He was of course the one who came up with the idea for her to murder your clan, our clans. She suffered so terribly, so you should join me, and we can defeat them all, together." Madara was now practically yelling at me, and I wouldn't tolerate anything of the sort. I sucked in a big breath through my nose before screaming at the trapped man.
