Frisk seemed almost reluctant to go into Waterfall. Maybe they were scared that it was must less activity here or maybe they were scared of the dark? Either way, their head wasn't as high as it was in Snowdin or in the Ruin. As for me... I loved Waterfall! Probably my favorite place and it held some of the best best memories from my childhood. It was always so quiet and clam. Peaceful. I sit and think for hours without being disturbed. I didn't notice how much I missed it.
"I don't really like this... It is so dark and mysterious... I don't know what's coming for me in the darkness..." Frisk said almost in a frightened. They didn't back out though. They're still determined as always, it made me almost smirk.
"Everything will be just fine!" I reassured them, "Waterfall is the best place in all of the Underground! In my opinion that is... I guess if you don't like the dark and the quiet feeling of this place, then your going to love Hotland." I didn't really like Hotland to much. Way to hot, to many people, and it was full of energy all the time. In Hotland it's was always go, go, go, go!
Eventually Frisk walked into a field of tall grass and then the stopped dead in their tracks. I looked up and there I saw her. No one other than Undyne herself! She was wearing thick, shiny, sliver armor and Papyrus was by her side nervous looking. They were on top of a small cliff beside the grassy patch. He started rambling about how he didn't capture the human and how he thought that maybe, we could let the human go, in attempts at stopping the look for Frisk, but then he backs up quickly and told Undyne that he would find the human. Anything to join the Royal Gaurd. That's odd, Undyne is scary now. She to was killing humans. But why? We used to be friends.
Then after a minute or two Frisk decided to start forward again but Undyne was fast to react and had her spear in hand immediately and aimed for us. "Frisk stop! Stop!" I told them wildly. Frisk frantically stopped and slowly looked up to see Undyne scanning the tall grassy field for them. When she didn't see Frisk she backed away from the cliff and disappeared from sight. I was relieved knowing how powerful Undyne is. But was Undyne on Asgore's side?! Did they kill all of the humans that passed through? So that's what happened to all those children.
"Okay the coast is clear, Frisk. Let's get a move on. I want you to go enjoy the beautiful waterfalls and echo flowers here! You'll love it it's great." I told them as they started to proceed. Then suddenly another monster ran out from the grassy field. They were yellow with brown stripes and the poor guy didn't have any arms so he feel over as he ran. The Monster Kid was hyper and frantically telling Frisk about how cool Undyne was and how she would beat up any human. This obviously made Frisk uncomfortable and then just as quickly as Monster Kid arrived he was gone falling on his face once more.
"Well... that was... something." Sighed Frisk. "Do you know who this, Undyne, I'm scared to ask. It seems she want to destroy me! I-I'm afraid." Frisk seemed homesick and terrified for the first time this entire trip.
I sighed as well it hurt me to see Frisk upset like this. I wanted to pat their head and say everything would be fine but I know I would faze right through them, instead I answered their question, "Yes, I know Undyne. She was one of my friends long ago when I was living. She was always a bit overly sarcastic and she was always more on the bad ass or punk-like side. But it looks like she has finally gotten her dream, she always used to talk about being in the Royal Gaurd or more specifically 'head' of the Royal Gaurd." I smiled. Everyone seems to be getting their wishes. I watched Frisk march forward every once in a while battling a Woshua or a Aaron. Whether or not Frisk was listening, I don't know, but I continued anyways, "Undyne did a lot for me. Maybe even to much. She was the one to be friends with me when everyone else seemed to hide away. She was there for me when I killed myself. She carried me all the way home to my parents and she was the one to help collect the dust of... nevermind." I didn't want to include Asriel in this. Let him rest in peace. I squeezed my eyes shut and continued, "Anyways... I never would have thought that Undyne and da-Asgore would ever do something like this. Kill innocent kids. I guess people change. So for the better but... some for the worse." They didn't see it but I motioned towards myself on that last part and sighed.
