My vision ever so slowly turned black again and I hear distant echo's of wind blowing from somewhere within the void. The actual Flowey the flower stood there in front of me the ground and was bent over feeling with what I can only assume fear, humiliation, and possibly utter madness. I glanced behind me to see Frisk standing in front of two large glowing pixel like buttons with the words 'FIGHT' and 'MERCY' written on them. Frisk looked back up from the button to the poor Flowey that was cradled in a fetal like position. Their hand hovered above 'FIGHT' for a long undisturbed moment. Then after what seemed like forever they squeezed their eyes shut through their head back and sighed sort of loudly, the slammed the fist down upon the 'MERCY' option. I knew Frisk couldn't see me, but a moved to stand beside them and smiled as if I were a proud parent... what an odd emotion I was feeling... was it happiness or pride?

Flowey merely glanced up at Frisk and whispered, "What are you doing? Do you really think I've learned anything from this? No." The looked back to the ground. But I felt Frisk's determination only rise after he said this aloud. Again, they showed mercy, and he replied with, "Sparing me won't change anything. Killing me is the only way to end this." Again they repeated, except Flowey sharply glared up at Frisk with glossy eyes and his voice shook as he threatened, "If you let me live... I'll come back." He was upright now visibly shaking, "I'll kill you. I'll kill everyone." Then his face went into a distorted smile and spoke with his voice shaking, "I'll kill everyone you love."

Frisk simply smiled and pressed the 'MERCY' button again and he had no sarcastic nor sadistic remark. The clam and everlasting wind blew threw the empty and dark void. He was but staring at the bewildered and angry. I was whipping my head from Frisk to Flowey in anticipation to see what happens next. He broken the silence, "...why? Why are you being... so nice to me?" His voice crack and I just barely hear a small sniff of dispair. Yet Frisk didn't approach him to embrace him, but instead continued to spare. His face became a furious face of loneliness and absolute anguish. "I can't understand. I can't understand. I just can't understand..." Flowey ran away bawling his eyes out.

Frisk stood there with a slight smiled on their face. But it disappeared when I appeared from the shadows. "Frisk! You were amazing! I had no idea you where that good... and merciful! That old bastard would have been long dead if he was in my hands, but you just shrugged off the fact that he has now not only stalked you through out all of the underground but also has tried to kill you multiple times! I have never been so-" I was cut off when Frisk raise their hand to shush me, not in a rude manner but in an understanding one. I stared at the hand in shock.

"You've never been so proud? Proud that I didn't kill him? Well, in all honesty, looking back to when I first met you a few days ago till now, you've improved so much. You were once lovesick for murder but now your only partially earning death." I laughed and sighed, I though we were about to have another serious conversation like the 'elevator talk.' Then Frisk burst into laughter with me and jumped around as if celebrating their win from the battle! It really wasn't much of a celebratory type of place but it never mattered.

After a little while of celebrating we sat back down back to back and realized that there was no way out of their endless void. Frisk's phone went off with two loud rings and Frisk answered it promptly, I moved closer to the phone so I could hear whoever was on the other side of the device.

"heya. is anyone there...? well, i'll just leave a message..." It was Sans voice that came through the receiver. "so... it's been awhile." Frisk and I exchanged looks, how long have we really been in this void to be considered, 'awhile.' Sans continued, "the queen returned, and is now ruling over the underground. she's enstated a new policy... all the humans who fall here will be treated not as enemies... but as friends. it's probably for the best, anyways. the human souls the kind gathered... seem to have disappeared. so, uh, that plan ain't happening any time soon. but even though people are heartbroken over the king... and things are looking grim for our freedom... the queen's trying her best not to let us give up hope." That part sounded as if he didn't believe it himself. He took a deep breath in and started up again, "so, uh, hey... if we're not giving up down here... don't give up wherever you are, ok? who knows how long it will take... but we will get out of here."
