My Whirlwind High School Romance

First Day

Bzzzz. Bzzzz.

Arrg I hate alarm clocks. I especially hate the first day of school and a new school at that. My name is Jesse Anderson, 1st year transfer at Domino high school. My old school didn't offer me much and when my dad had the offer to transfer to a new office he took the chance to give me a better life.

I looked at my wardrobe where my new blue uniform hung. Suddenly I felt a ticklish sensation beneath my quilt. "Ruby cut it out," I laughed picking up my sheets to reveal my small purple duel spirit Ruby Carbuncle. " I'm up sweetie."

Yes, I can see duel spirits. Ruby is particularly my favourite but don't tell the others. I got up to freshen up I think the bathroom knowing the time my dad would have already left for work. Fortunately I don't live too far from the school so it wouldn't take me long to walk there.

I stood outside the gate of the school. The freshman students hanging around the billboard to see what homeroom they were in and hoping they were with each other. I moved closer as the crowd began to die down. At the front was a girl no taller than 5 foot looking intensely at the board trying to find her name. "Ah there I am," she chimed happily.

"Umm can you see my name?" There was a boy just smaller than the girl with light blue fair and rounded glasses. "I'm Syrus. Syrus Truesdale."

"Give me a sec sweet," she smiled patting the younger boy on the head. "There y-"

The young girl stopped as a bout with multi brown haired boy ran past me and jumped on the girl's shoulders. "Where am I?" He screamed. "Yeah I'm with you."

"Get off you're heavy!" The girl screamed. Before turning to the boy who I know now is Syrus. "You're with us. Apologies for my friend, Jaden doesn't have many manners."

Jaden? That's a nice name for someone so adorable. "Don't make me sound like a bad person Emiko," Jaden whined crossing his arms. I watched as the 3 of the walked off together and make their way to class. I looked up at the board and noticed my home room and decided to make my way to the class.

I stopped at classroom 1-B and noticed in the back the three students from earlier int he back desks talking. "Well Syrus if you hang around Jaden be aware his may have a bad influence on you," the girl, I believe Emiko giggles sticking her tongue out to Jaden (him i do remember).

"Hey I'm not that bad," Jaden moaned.

"May I remind you of your entrance exam score?" Emiko smirked.

"I didn't get a high score either," Syrus said timidly looking down at the desk.

"Don't worry honey," Emiko assured. "I'll help you when you need it. Think of my as your big sis."

"And I'll be your big bro!" Jaden exclaimed.

All three of them laughed as the bell rang. Must be nice being able to laugh and smile like that all the time. I took a seat at my desk as the teacher walked in. As per usual on the first day of school the teacher got us to stand one by one and introduce ourselves. I stood and in a loud voice said, "I'm Jesse Anderson. I transferred to town a little under a month ago. I hope we can become good friends."

When I sat down I felt a pair of eyes looking at me. Make that 2 pairs of eyes. I turned and saw Jaden waving at me and next to him was a fuzzy brown duel spirit.

I thought I was seeing things but it appears I wasn't.
