Jaden's POV

It's dark. My arms, I can't feel them. They seem to be tied together I can't move them. "Well well," I look up trying to find the source the voice. I can't make anything out. I felt something hover over me, I heard a snapping of fingers as a portal opened up before me. "Seems your friends are arguing again,"

I looked into the portal to see my friends, trapped inside the school and no where to go. Jesse currently had Emiko's wrist tightly in his hand. "Jesse stop!" She moaned. I gasped Jesse looked so dark. Not like the man I love. 

"Why does Jaden have to protect you and get himself into danger?" He growled. "You should have been the one taken away not him!"

"Stop it," Syrus yelled pushing Jesse off Emiko. Alexis quickly ran over to inspect the mark Jesse had left. "Doing this won't save Jaden!"

I watched in horror as Jesse started to cry out. He feel to his knees, the tears continuing to flow. "Why are you showing this to me?" I could feel my heart shatter with every moment. My friends arguing and my boyfriend being broken bit by bit. "Please stop this!"

"I'm sorry my boy," I felt a cold finger run along my chin. Shivers ran up my spine and I felt the figure hug me. "I need you at your weakest, so that I can."

Can what? My hearing went in that moment, I felt something dark dive into my heart. Why am I so weak? Come on Jay fight this thing! Fight it!

Jesse's POV

I let the tears flow freely as we all sat in the infirmary. We tried to to look for other students but couldn't seem to find anyone. No lead to where Jaden might be either. Crap!

I could feel Ruby rubbing against my side trying to comfort me. She's such a kind spirit, always there for me even when my mum died. I smiled and placed my hand on her head. "Thanks girl," I chocked trying to hold back the tears.

"We've looked everywhere," came bastions voice as he and Jim approached us. "Wait whose that?"

I noticed Bastion pointing towards Ruby. I looked at him confused, since when did Bastion see duel spirits. "You see her?"

"Me too Mate," Jim spoke up. What's going on? Could it be, were not in our world anymore? I started to panic. Then that means we're in more danger then ever expected.

Thud, Thud! My breath hitched as Ruby took up a fighting stance in front of us. What's going on here? Suddenly the infirmary door banged open, the rest of the gang falling through. "Okay, let's get running," Axel demanded getting to his feet. I looked into the infirmary to see a dragon trying to get through the window. I panicked and slammed the door shut.

I felt a hand on my shoulder. Looking up I noticed Emiko. "Stop laundering about and get up," she ordered grabbing my arm. I nodded getting up next to her and we began to run, Ruby following close behind.

"So what are those things?" Atticus asked as we continued to run. As we did I noticed that the school was empty. Not any other people other then us seemed to be here.

"Umm, assuming that this has something to do with shadow magic, I'll go with duel spirits," Alexis panted as we turned the corner.

We all ran for the hall, shutting the doors and barricading them as we got in. We all made our way to the stage, "okay I don't think we're in Kanas any more," Atticus sighed taking a seat on the steps to the stage.

"M-Minami," I heard Emiko choke. "I want Minami."

She pulled her knees up to her chest and continued to cry. I walked over to her and sat beside her. "I'm sorry," I apologised. "I'm just mad at myself for not being strong enough."

She continued to keep her head in her knees. "I haven't even told him," she muttered. "I haven't told Zane anything."

"Hey it's okay," I cooed. "We'll get him back and you can see Minami after."

"And you can see Jay," Emiko sniffed looking up at me. I nodded. We will get out of here. We have to.
