My Whirlwind High School Romance

The talk

It had been a week since the incident/kiss/confrontation or whatever you wanted to call it. Me and Jaden hadn't defined what we were yet although we would still sneak kisses to each other now and then. Syrus still seemed sad and nervous around Jaden but was trying his best to keep his head held high. His grades had improved which really helped his overall confidence.

Last night Jaden had stayed at mine and was looking forward to going to the Domino mall with everyone today. We all decided to go to the new ice cream parlour for some desserts.

Jaden was sat on my bed trying to do his hair while I was buttoning up my shirt. "So Jess," Jaden began and I looked towards him using the mirror. "What are we?"

I blushed for a moment. Truth was even I didn't know. "What do you want to be?"

"I'd like to say we are a thing," he answered honestly.

"I would like that too," I whispered leaning in to kiss him.

Jaden took no time pounding on me to kiss me full force. The only issue is now when do we tell people we are a thing. My dad had pretty much guessed by now and didn't mind. I didn't want to hurt Syrus as he just has his heart broken and the next thing you know there's everyone else. Zane pretty knew that we were together and he was slightly jealous. I guess we'll get to the bridge when it comes to it.

We ended up arriving late due to our make out session taking longer then expected. In reality we cut it short.

When we got there Alexis and Bastion were looking through the catalogue for the dessert shop. Syrus was with Atticus looking at the window of the near by music store while Emiko and Zane weren't anywhere to be seen.

"How's the menu look?" Jaden asked taking a seat next to Bastion on the bench.

"It looks wonderful," Bastion said. "Very full of calories."

"The fudge cake looks amazing!" Jaden beamed snatching the menu. "So where's little and large?"

I couldn't help but laugh. Emiko was five foot nothing will Zane was 6 foot 1 so they ended up with that nickname. Just then Emiko came around the corner with Zane in toe. "Sorry!" She said bowing to us all. "There was a new store I just had to check out."

"And your story?" I asked Zane raising an eye brow.

"I'm was keeping an eye on the time for her but someone wouldn't leave the store," Zane grumbled turning away.

"Not my fault!" Emiko cried. "They happened to have a lottery going on I had to keep trying!"

"That's a gambling addiction," Jaden laughed jumping on Emiko's back.

"But I wanted the ...." Emiko stopped mid sentence.

"Oh its that addiction," Jaden winked.

"I hate you so much!" Emiko cried pushing Jaden to the floor and sitting on him. She managed to make sure the skirt she was wearing was covering any underwear.

"Mind getting off my boyfriend," I laughed not realising what I said until I heard everyone gasp. Oh piss!

"When did this happen?" Alexis questioned.

Emiko soon got of Jaden and hugged me. "I'm so happy for you," she squealed.

I looked over to Syrus who seemed a little upset but I think he saw this happening. I then looked at Zane who just had a look of murder in his eyes. I got Emiko off me and turned to the rest of the gang. "We made this official today," I smiled as Jaden stood and held my hand. "We know it'll be weird from now on but we hope you'll accept us."

Everyone just sort of smiled at us before cheering. I didn't expect them to all be so understanding. "Dude the king of games himself is gay," Atticus said. "No problems with us."

I couldn't help put let out a small laugh - it's amazing how accepting people are these days. I was glad that this talk went well.
