;perplexed;

Jenna eventually had to leave, so Tyler calmly walked back to Josh's house, enjoying the calmness of the deep night. Although his heart ached like it always did after saying goodbye to his love, he still was wondering what caused her to ask those questions. After five years, Tyler thought she would trust him. Then again, there's a high chance Tyler won't return to his old home, he was stuck here. So he understood her worrying, it's all a very weird long distance thing.

Arriving at the Dun household, he checked to make sure the window was still open. Walking to where Josh's window was, Tyler realized there was a tree by the house. It probably would have been safer than climb it down rather than to jump, but he was in a rush and was blind to it. So, taking the smarter choice, he slowly climbed up the tree and carefully crawled through the window. Josh was facing the direction of the window, making Tyler's heart almost stop but upon further observation, he was still in deep sleep.

Letting out a breath he didn't realized he was holding in, he crawled back into his spot and curled up. Not tired anymore, he let his mind drift off into a sea of thoughts. Still on the topic of Jenna, Tyler wondered if his girlfriend was slowly losing trust in him. Could it be from the times he wasn't able to make it to their meeting spot? In his defense, he didn't expect to find his neighbor crying at the park.

He still never quite pieced what happened to him that night, he had theories but it was really none of his business. He didn't expect for that to be a start of developing a friendship with him, despite being neighbors for four years. He tilted his head in the direction of the resting pink-head to find him gripping another one of his pillows tightly. He found it quite adorable.

Despite not liking much of the humans here, Josh was different, he had a very welcoming presence. Outside of school, his shyness seemed to disappear. The angel wondered what he was really like, the two days of being with him only showed a bit. He never expected to be so curious over a feminine-dressed boy. In his old home, people that stood out that much would be ignored for most of their time there. It was sad how something that is betrayed so beautiful by a famous book, be so backwards in reality.

Tyler must admit though, his people weren't always like this, after the ruling of a new king, it all flipped upside down. Of course the main boss of it all was God himself, angels broke down into different classes. Each class had its own ruler, Tyler was raised in the Archangels class, the lowest one that obeyed  the orders of the higher classes. The king of Archangels used to have a very kind ruler that spread the kindness and purity angels were supposed to have, but he got overthrown. God was too busy with his creation of humanity to pay attention to just a single base of Archangels.

Tyler's "punishment" wasn't even considered one when he was much younger. Angels were supposed to be on earth, protecting the souls that lived in it. But as the world kept changing its views and kept growing, not many people asked for protection of their angels anymore. Tyler wished things went back to the way they were, to be happy and accepted like God wanted all his creations to be. He never knew why everything suddenly went backwards, that's why he decided to rebel.

Thinking back to how things were on Earth, Tyler was perplexed on how the world was so divided. Some places still reject people who have different views, while others decided to open arms to people despite of their differences. But when there's good, there must be bad, that's what the angel always went by. There has to be a balance, that's how things work. All this thinking was tiring out the winged-creature, so he decided to go to sleep.

Feeling his eyes slowly close, he looked once again at the sleeping beauty, definitely agreeing he was one of the few good things in the world. As his eyes were close to shutting completely, he saw a shadow once again in the room, but thought it was the darkness of the room playing tricks again. Too tired to think anything else of it, he finally went to sleep.

(Self promo?) the first chapter of Ignite is out! Go check it out, it's also a Joshler. I'm really excited on working on that fanfic, as well as this one of course. I do have ideas for this fic, hopefully you won't hate them.

Alright! This was more of a filler, but I decided to explain more on the world where Tyler used to live. I do not believe that angels are bad and their way of governing is not accurate in anyway, it is all fiction that I made up. But i did do research and Archangels are the lowest class of angels, I forgot the name of the other classes but hey, the more you know.
