;Midnight;
Jeez we're already at thirteen and there's no joshler, it'll come soon I promise. This fic may end up fairly long considering my pace so buckle up. This chapter is a long-ish one but it's worth it in the end
Tyler really shouldn't be so concerned, especially for some human he started talking to just not too long ago. But the vibes he got from Josh before he left, worried him. He turned on his bed facing the ceiling, sighing to himself. He hoped Josh was okay, he seemed very stressed and the complete opposite of himself.
The angel was supposed to be the bad boy, right? He could care less about humans, or basically, anyone for that matter except those he was close to. But is he close to Josh? They hung out, sure but could they trust each other. Tyler was a tough wall to crack, living in a kingdom full of fake smiles and manipulation, walls needed to be built for his heart. Could he ever bring himself to trust anyone, more specifically, Josh, who was human.
It was true that angels were once meant to protect God's lovely creation of humans, but when the new king took over, views became to change. The people who worked for him, showed all angels how selfish and cruel humans can be. They showed pictures of war victims, people starving, and all sorts of things that pointed fingers. They were no good, he was taught. They didn't need our protection, angels grew to strongly dislike them, even fear them sometimes.
That changed for Tyler however, he saw that not everyone was terrible, there was good in this society. But trust was something he was too uneasy to give them, because one thing was certain, there is terrible people out there. And the scariest past was that they could appear to be the nicest.
Josh wasn't like that, he was genuinely nice. At least, that's what Tyler wanted to believe.

He felt like shit, Josh will admit. He craves a comforting touch that will tell him it will be alright. But he's single now and well, the comfort will be hard to find. Now that Josh thinks about it, where will he go from here? What will he tell others when they realize he's no longer in a relationship?
"Joshua honey are you alright?" His mother asked behind his door.
"Yeah mom." He called as sweetly as he could, to avoid talking to her.
"Are you sure? You barely said a word when you came back..." she trailed off worriedly.
"Yeah I'm fine. I promise." It was a fake promise, clearly. But his mom didn't need to know that, not for now at least.
"Alright, sweetie, I'm here if you need me." His mom finished and her footsteps could be heard walking away.
He thought about inviting his friends over but they all had stuff to do. He even considered inviting his neighbor but after the way he acted when he left, he probably doesn't want to see the pink-haired boy again. He was rude, he'll admit.
To pass the time, Josh decided to scroll through his phone, he scrolled old pictures, videos, just basically looking at the past. And at the same time, deleting photos of him and Eric, it helped lift the anvil off his chest. Warm tears rolled down his cheeks however, looking at the photos and seeing them disappear after each "deleting" loading screen.
This was healthy, he thinks. It was a way of letting go he believes.
-------
The angel held pebbles in his hands, preparing his aim at the window. He saw this in a movie that Kelly was watching, it seemed like a good way to get someone's attention. He didn't know the movie was a romantic one though, so it could be taken the wrong way. But it didn't matter, Tyler just wanted to get the damn boy's attention! However, it was really late so he was prepared for the idea to fail.
