It All Started At Midnight

Alright, enough of the fluff, this plot has to get going so have come backstory, along with a cliffhanger at the end. I finally have this book mostly figured out but to get things going, the chapters will become shorter but I promise that the quality won't go down. You guys are in for a ride ;)

Jenna Black was the sweetheart in the town. No one knew much about her however, people just knew her parents were wealthy. When people found out that the sweet 14 year old started dating the well known rebel, people were beyond shocked. No one looked at her the same.

Of course, Jenna wanted best for her town and saw how strong Tyler was about making a change, the two clicked instantly and many people could see how happy they made each other. Tyler protected her as much as he could, and they had each other's support. Tyler rarely used his abilities on himself, he'd use them to protect the ones he loved.

However, no one, not even Tyler, knew her backstory. Her birth parents didn't want another child so they gave her away to a secret orphanage, since in the kingdom, they were illegal. She was adopted by a man who raised Jenna in luxury and comfort, he needed a pupil to help him in his plans. As she grew older, she understood her dad's desires and plans and wanted nothing more than to please them. Soon, she became corrupted in the same wealth and craved power, and was raised in the same mindset that angels were far too superior to be in any affiliation with The Creator, and that they do not need to help their Creator's creation of humanity. She became obsessed with the need for power and control, it was quite intense since that was what she was raised to believe. Her evil could no doubt outmatch her fathers. Jenna lived to make sure that one day, the two would have complete control over the kingdom.

Her dad wanted Jenna to grow up to be much stronger than him so their plan would remain permanent. So he started experimenting with dark magic and gave Jenna the ability to communicate to Sombras, beings who latched onto those with weakened faith. Jenna knew it could come in handy, she was able to control these beings after all. Despite the girl's darkness, she always managed to put up the act of her being a huge sweetheart and acted kind to everyone. She would often walk around the village of the kingdom, and had the cute demeanor that no one would ever be suspicious of.

Soon, her dad became king when she was a little girl. But as years went by, Tyler Joseph started to protest. The king needed his pupil to help him, and by coincidence, she was the same age as Tyler Joseph. It all fell into place, at 13 was when the rebel started making noise that angered her dad, he was worried of how the people would react. Soon, he was able to get their attention and that landed him the many visits to the king. Of course, by total chance, Tyler met Jenna when he got kicked out the castle after the king yelled at him for the first time.

From all the stress and dedication, Tyler looked a lot older than he really was, no one really knew his backstory either. Jenna found him attractive though and day by day, the two kept talking and talking until they fell for each other.

When Tyler was banished, Jenna and her dad started putting their plan into place. When the two would see each other at Midnight in the human world, Jenna used it to her advantage to make sure Tyler had no way back home. Of course, Tyler was lovestruck and had no clue of his girlfriends evil doings.

Part of the plan, though. For you see, Jenna had the ability to soften the rebel's heart, she was his weakness. Quite literally.

Now, Jenna was furious. Joshua Dun was getting in her way, she was scared of Tyler leaving her grasp. If he fell for another, he wouldn't need her anymore. She would no longer be his weakness and if he was able to regain his strength, he could ruin everything she has worked for.

Jenna never loved Tyler, but she was pretty damn good at making it seem like she did. Josh however, intimidated Jenna because she knew the infatuation he held for her boyfriend. The king and her worked too hard to let one weak human boy ruin it all. Jenna knew the reason she came here was working, she smirked as she saw how passed out Tyler was when he ran away to fly.

Seeing Josh with him however, made any feeling of accomplishment go away.
