;yearning;

Tyler looked at Momma Dun clearly confused at her son's behavior. He stood up and thanked Josh's mom for everything, also saying goodbye in the process. He didn't want to bother Josh more than he did, so he just yelled 'bye Josh' hoping he could here him, and walked out the door. He looked at Josh's flowers as he was walking home, hoping his neighbor would remember to water them again. He sighed to himself, Tyler stayed away from humans for reasons like this. He didn't understand them, he was used artificial smiles and fake happiness his home had. Here, it was genuine feelings, Tyler wasn't even used to his own feelings to begin with.

He looked at the front door of his home, knowing Kelly is going to be asking questions to where he has been. He knocked and waited for entry, he heard happy humming from the other side then soon the door opening, revealing Kelly and her usual happy self.

"Lock yourself out?" She teased, Tyler's keys dangling from her hand.

"I was in a rush." Was all he replied, with a small smile.

Kelly only really acted like a parent when it was necessary, any other time she was really cool. She's an angel herself, as well as Chris and they were also sent to the earth. But they weren't sent as punishment, they were doing what  angels are meant to do, protect and love.

A number of angels were sent at the time they were, it was during a time period where things were normal and not so problematic. So when angels started being sent down as punishment, angels prior to them made it their duty to take them in so they could adjust to human society and environment. Kelly and Chris took Tyler in as their fake son, they had to move however because people in their old neighborhood were becoming suspicious. Plus, moving somewhere new would make Tyler's entry to this world seem more normal.

He walked to his room and laid on his bed, he didn't get much sleep last night, and the lack of rest was starting to get to him. He still didn't bother putting on more comfortable clothing and closed his eyes, drifting soundly to sleep.

-----

To say Josh was nervous was an understatement, his heart was beating and he felt like he could vomit any moment. He didn't care on looking his best so he stuck to a light blue sweater and normal skinny jeans, with his classic black converse shoes. He felt too self-conscious to choose something more revealing. He walked out saying goodbye to his mom, and made his way to Eric's house. His mind was racing with what to say and what decision he should make. Should he forgive his boyfriend?

It never happened before so there couldn't be a chance where it can happen again, right? He wanted more time to think, but Josh knew it was because he was too scared to confront rather than he actually needed time to think. His hands were getting shaky and the breath of his lungs seemed to suddenly disappear, so he took the opportunity to sit on a nearby bench, and calm down for a moment.

His mind was cloudy suddenly, almost as if he was drunk. His mind was filling with happy memories he had with his boyfriend, some he remembered, some seemed made up. It felt funny however, almost as if the return of certain memories wasn't Josh's doing, it felt almost controlled. He gripped to the bench, feeling dizzy, what was going on? The dizziness stopped, but the memories continued. Remembering the happy times brought back a warm, yearning feeling he had for Eric. Josh opened his eyes he forget he closed, and for a glimpse he saw a  distorted shadow that wasn't his but he was too distracted to care. Then it became clear to him.

He was being silly, wasn't he? This was Eric he was talking about, people make mistakes and as long as the one he made didn't happen again, they'll be happy. Like they used to be, Josh knew he shouldn't worry, so he got up and kept walking to his house. He smiled slightly, ignoring the bottled fear he somehow managed to repress in his mind. He didn't think much of what just happened while sitting on the bench, he took it as a sign that he had to forgive him. After all, they'll be happy again, at least that's what Josh hopes.

Sorry this update was so late, I was kinda stuck on it tbh but the next chapter should come out more smoothly to me. Another reminder, I have another Joshler fic out, and a poetry book if any of you guys like poetry. It's kinda dark poetry though.
