Imagine: You and Castiel get in a fight and he says things that he instantly regrets.

Angels. They were complex and beautiful creatures, yet at the same time they were hard to deal with. You and Castiel have been dating for over five months now, and each one of those months was filled was hard decisions and pain. But, it didn't matter to you, because at the end of each month you and Cas were still together, and that's all that you cared about.

Dating an angel was hard, there was no doubt about that. They don't understand human emotions, which makes it hard for them to feel anything. After five months, you had thought that you had taught Cas how to feel things humans would feel. But you were wrong.

You were sitting on the couch of the Bunker when he came home that night. The night that you and he had your worst fight. He came through the door, blood on his face and clothes. You immediately rushed over to him, looking over his body for wounds.

"I'm fine, Y/N," he stated, walking past you to your shared bedroom. "Cas, there is blood everywhere," you told him as he took off his shirt. Cuts were scattered all over his upper his body, making you gasp. "Cas," you whispered, coming closer to him, but he took a step back from you.

"Cas? What's wrong with you today?" you asked. "Nothing, you wouldn't understand," he replied. "Try me," you responded. "I'm being hunted Y/N, by my own brothers and sisters. Do you know why? Because of you," Cas said, looking you dead in the eye.

"Cas, I know this is hard for you, but," you started but he quickly cut you off. "No, you don't get it Y/N, look at me. I'm bleeding, and I can't heal as fast. I'm not as powerful as I used to be," he responded. "Cas, you might not have as much power as you used to do, but at least you are doing the right thing," you told him.

He scoffed before telling you, "I knew you wouldn't understand." "Make me understand," you replied. "I can't, you're just a human," he said. "What's that supposed to mean?" you asked. "You're weak, and fragile, Y/N, you don't know what it's like to be powerful. But, I used to be powerful, I used to have everything, and now I have nothing," he replied.

"You have me," you told him, making him scoff again. "What are you trying to say Cas?" you questioned, dreading his answer. "I'm saying that getting together with you was the worst mistake I have ever made," he snapped.

You eyes immediately filled with hurt as his eyes filled with regret. You ran out of the room and made your way to the room that you and the Winchesters had warded from angels in case of an emergency. You heard Cas chasing after you, and you quickly shut the door, locking it before Cas could come in.

You heard him knock on the door as he said, "Y/N, I'm so sorry, I didn't mean it." But you weren't listening to him. You were too busy trying to breathe as you felt your heart shattering. He begged you to open the door, but you refused to. He tried flying into the room, but couldn't because of the sigils. He felt his own tears forming in his eyes as all of the emotions you had taught him came rushing through him.

Anger at himself for saying what he had just said to you. Guilt for hurting you. Pain and fear at the thought of losing you because of what just happened. Love, stronger than it had ever been for you. Regret for saying the things he said. Shock that he was so harsh towards you, the one person he promised himself he would never hurt.

Cas was breaking down outside of your door, and you didn't even know it. Cas could hear you crying on the other side of the door, and all he wanted to do was hold you in his arms and apologize a thousand times. All he wanted to do was prove to you how much he loved you, and how he couldn't live without out. But you wouldn't open the door.

Cas spent the entire night outside the door, hoping you would come out but you never did. He spent all morning there as well, but still you never came out. Sam and Dean were coming back from a hunt they had been on sometime in the afternoon, and they were immediately met by a panicked Cas.

"Cas, what's wrong?" Dean asked. "I messed up, Dean. I messed up so horribly," he replied. "What's going on?" Sam questioned. "I think she's going to leave me, she can't leave me, I won't survive," Cas rambled on.

Dean placed a hand on Cas' shoulder, before making his friend look him in the eyes. "Tell us what happened, maybe we can help you fix it," Dean stated. It took everything in Cas not to break down as he told the Winchesters what had happened.

"Y/N just needs space Cas, I'm sure what you said really hurt her. But, she has to come out sometime. When she does, you need to apologize to her, tell her how much she means to you," Dean told him, and he nodded his head.

It was a few more hours before you decided to brave the world and get something to eat. You cautiously walked to the kitchen and made yourself something to eat. You walked into the dining room only to be met with a pair of blue eyes you knew all to well.

"Y/N," he breathed out, but you just turned around and started walking away, unable to look at him without wanting to cry. He came running after you but you never stopped to talk to him. This happened every day.

Every morning he would give you something you loved, chocolate, your favorite breakfast, your favorite movie, whatever always made you feel better. But every morning you ignored his gifts. He tried apologizing a million different times, but every time he spoke the only words you heard were "Getting together with you was the worst mistake I have ever made."

One day, Cas knocked on the door to the room you had been staying in ever since you had that fight with him. You didn't answer but he hadn't expected you to. He needed to say this to you, because he knew you would have to listen even if you didn't want to.

"Y/N, I know that you're listening. You don't have to respond, I just need to say this. I know how badly I messed up, and I will never forgive myself because I know that you will never forgive me. I love you more than you will ever know, and I swear I didn't mean what I said, but I know you won't believe me. So, I'm leaving, and I'm not coming back. I'm hurting you by staying here, and I promised myself that I would never hurt you. I'm sorry I couldn't keep that promise, but this is the last time I will ever hurt you, I swear," he told you, tears falling from his eyes as he walked away from the door.

Thoughts rushed through your head, but there was only one thought that kept repeating, 'Don't let him go.' You quickly stood up and flung the door open, running through the Bunker until you found him. Your little angel in a trench coat. He was about to walk out the door, when he saw that you were there. You walked closer to him as he asked, "Y/N what are you doing?"

"I love you," you stated. Cas felt his heart ache for you as he walked over to you and pushed you against the wall, pressing his lips to yours. The kiss was so passionate, meaningful, and loving. Neither of you wanted to pull away, but after a minute, you both needed a breath.

You pulled away, both of you breathing hard. "Please don't leave me," you told him. His expression softened, as he said, "I could never leave you. I'm so sorry Y/N, I never meant to hurt you." "I know," you replied before pulling him into another kiss. "I love you so much," Cas told as you pulled away for the second time. "I love you too," you replied, and for the rest of the night, Cas showed you just how much you meant to him.
