Imagine: The reader lives with the boys and always admired Lucifer and felt like there was no reason that he should have fallen. When she meets him after he suddenly appears in the bunker, while she's alone, she bugs him about hanging out and eventually, he says yes.
You had no idea why you felt the way you did. He was Satan. The reason behind every evil thing. At least, that's what everyone says. But, you couldn't help but feel a little differently. It wasn't your fault, it's not like you wanted it to happen. But, ever since you met Lucifer you had these feelings towards him. You couldn't explain them.
It all started when you first met him. You were at a gas station, picking up some things that you needed back at the Bunker where you lived with the Winchesters. You were scouring the aisles when he appeared out of nowhere. Your first instinct was to pull out the weapon that you had, but the only thing you had on you was a gun which would be completely useless against an archangel, not to mention that it would get the cops called on you.
So, you simply stood your ground as he watched you, an amused smile dancing on his face. "Lucifer," you breathed out. Although you had never met the archangel, you instantly knew it was him from what Sam, Dean, and Castiel told you.
"In the flesh," he stated, his smirk never leaving his face. "What are you doing here?" you asked, cautiously taking a step back, knowing that at any moment, he could kill you with just the snap of his fingers. "I want to tell you my story," he replied. "Why? Why does it matter if I know your story?" you questioned.
"Because maybe you won't see me as the monster that everyone else sees me as. And then maybe you could convince your friends and their pet angel," Lucifer suggested. "You're a murderer, nothing is going to change that," you stated.
"At least let me try," he pleaded. "Why should I?" you asked. "Because if you don't then you will never know the truth, and we both know that that is going to eat you alive," he replied. "Well, how am I supposed to know that you are actually telling me the truth and not just the lies you tell everyone else," you snapped back.
Lucifer gave a small shrug of his shoulders before saying, "Isn't it worth the risk to find out what I have to say?" You pondered it for a moment and agreed to hear him out, but only after you grabbed your angel blade in case he tried to do anything.
He agreed, knowing that in a fight against him, he would probably win. He then took you to a bar where he spent the entire night telling you his story from the moment he was created to how he got such a bad reputation. You sympathized with him, you really did. You thought that he had a point to his side of the story, and you started to really believe there was no reason he should have fallen.
It scared you how easily you had trusted him. It was like you connected to him in some way though, and you hated not knowing whether or not it was just simply because he was the devil.
Long story short, ever since that night, you had always taken Lucifer's side. Whenever the Winchesters would talk about how horrible he was, you would suggest that they didn't know everything that happened between him and God. Sam and Dean never understood why you defended him, but you were family to them, so they just went along with it.
They tried to talk to you about it, but you would just tell them that they don't know the full story, so they can't make judgments. It would then always lead into a long discussion of the completely awful things Lucifer has done, to which you would just nod your head, not wanting to argue with them.
You didn't see Lucifer for three months since the night he told you his story. It kind of concerned you that he never showed up, but there was always a voice that told you he just probably didn't want to waste his time with a worthless human.
You were beginning to start to get over the whole Lucifer thing when he suddenly showed up. You were in your bedroom, reading a book you got from the Bunker's library when you heard a flutter of wings. You looked up and let out a small gasp when the blonde hair, blue eyed angel was standing in your room, looking at you.
"Lucifer," you stated, speaking slightly softer so that Sam and Dean wouldn't hear you. "Don't you know any other greetings?" he teased, sitting down on the bed next to you. "I was beginning to think you disappeared for good," you told him, setting your book down next to you.
"Well, I was going to but then I missed you too much," he said, smirking. "Haha, very funny, what are you really doing here? If Sam and Dean see you, it will be bad for everyone," you replied. "I was just checking in," he responded, "But I see everything is fine, so I can go now."
"No, don't," you stated before you even realized what you were saying. He looked at you intrigued. "You said you wanted me to see the real you so that I can convince others that you aren't as horrible as everyone thinks you are. I can't do that if I don't even really know you. So stay for a while," you suggested, looking at the ground, afraid to make eye contact.
He hesitated for a moment, before replying, "Fine. I'll stay if you want me to, but there better be something in it for me." You looked up at him and a small smile rested on your face, "You can choose what we get to do."
For the rest of the night, you and Lucifer hung out, doing different things and learning more about each other. It felt completely authentic, and for the entire night, you had totally forgotten about the fact that he was supposed to be Satan. And for the first time, Lucifer had felt something for someone else.
Neither of you knew where this was heading, but you both knew, 100% that this was the start of something beautiful.
