Imagine: The way Lucifer reacts to you getting a pet snake.

"Awe who's a good boy," you said in a high pitched voice to the little green snake inside it's cage. He slithered around the cage in different directions make you chuckle every time it changed the way it was going.

You were making kissy noises at it when you heard the door to your apartment open. "Hey," a man said. You looked up to see icy blue ones looking at you. "Hey Luci," you said walking over to him and placing a kiss on his lips. He smiled into the kiss, pulling away after a couple of seconds.

"How was your day?" he asked. "Amazing," you responded but before you could ask how his was your new snake pet began hissing.  Lucifer immediately snapped his head up to look at the slithering creature.

"Y/N, what is that?" he asked taking a couple of steps closer towards it. "Our new pet," you replied casually. He turned back to look at you with an expression that said 'seriously?'

You shrugged your shoulders innocently as he said, "A snake, Really? Of all things?" "What? They're cute," you replied. "And a little ironic don't you think? Considering everyone thinks of your boyfriend as a snake," he told you.

"What can I say, I have a type," you joked. "These things are weird. They don't have any legs," Lucifer said, looking back at the snake. "I think that's what makes them so unique. They don't have any legs, yet they find a way to move around," you responded.

"I don't know Y/N, I don't really like snakes," Lucifer replied. "Why not?" you questioned. "Because everyone compares me to one. My whole life people have always thought of me like a snake. Creepy, deceitful, clever, sneaky. All of my worst features are displayed in the symbol of this creature. And because of it no one ever tried to get to know my better features. Except for you," he explained.

You gave him a small smile as you walked up to Lucifer. You placed a kiss on his lips before telling him, "Come here, I'm going to show you why I love snakes."

You interlaced your fingers with his before walking over to the cage. "I can compare you to this snake, but not in the ways everyone else does," you told him. He raised his eyebrow, intrigued as you began explaining.

"This snake is the strongest creature on the Earth. It was punished more than anything else. Cursed to live with no way of being able to move around. Having the skin color of its surrounding so that no one ever noticed it unless you looked for it.

The way you were punished by God Luci was unfair. You did nothing wrong yet God made you suffer consequences, making you out to be the bad guy. You and the snake are both victims of being portrayed as the evil ones, because no one ever bothers to try to see you as something else. You are both survivors in my mind. Survivors of the worst kind of torture. The torture of everyone hating you for no reason. And to me, that makes you strong," you told him.

His eyes never left your face as you spoke. Him falling more in love with you with every word you spoke. "Snakes are also sneaky, like you. But I don't see that in a bad way. After all, some of our best memories happened after you snuck up on me," you continued with a smirk, making him form one of his own as he remembered his favorite memories the two of you had shared.

"Snakes also only bite when they feel threatened or are trying to protect themselves. You're not a bad guy Luci. The last time I even remember you losing control was when a demon decided to torture me. I was never mad at you for that, because from that moment on I knew you would always protect me," you said, looking at the snake now, but Lucifer never looked away from you.

"See, snakes aren't that bad are they?" you said looking back up at Lucifer. He immediately placed his lips on yours. He wrapped his arms around your waist pulling you as close to his body as he could. His tongue slid over your bottom lip as your fingers ran through his hair.

You both pulled away after a couple of minutes, needing to catch your breath. Lucifer looked at the snake before saying, "I changed my mind, I think I'm going to like having a snake as a pet." You smirked at his words before looking at the snake at well.

He was slithering around the cage contently. "By the way, what's the little guy's name?" Lucifer asked. You bit the inside of your cheek to keep yourself from laughing as you said, "Satan."

Lucifer shot a fake glare your way as you told him, "What? I have a sense of humor." Lucifer shook his head at you, letting out a chuckle. "You're going to pay for this," he said, taking a step closer to you but you already made a dash for your shared bedroom.

You shut the door and locked it, only to feel hands wrap around your waist. You yelped in surprise as Lucifer pulled you onto the bed and started tickling. After a while of hearing your laughter, Lucifer was satisfied. He got off of you and sat next to you on the bed.

"Did you learn your lesson?" he asked. "Yes, and I've decided to make it up to you," you told him crawling closer to him on the bed. "Really? How so?" he questioned with a raised eyebrow.

You placed your lips on his gently, making him crave more when you pulled away. He quickly took control of the situation, and stayed in control for the rest of the night. Needless to say, getting that snake did wonders for yours and Lucifer's relationship.
