What's A Party Without Drama

Lyra, Anna and Alison wouldn't stop teasing me for the rest of the night. I laughed and danced around feeling so happy. I was jumping up and down flicking my hair back and fourth until I bumped into Jackson. "Jackson!" I screamed. "Hey my little flower! How are you?" I pounced onto Jackson and kissed him aggressively. Jackson kissed back and I was glad he did. Then came the impossible.

"HEY! You get your hands off her!" Jayden shouted. The room fell silent. Jackson broke the kiss and we both stared at Jayden. "Yes YOU!" Jayden screamed again stepping forward. "Jayden what are you doing?" I asked in shock. "I came here to surprise you but I guess I'm here to protect you!" I looked Jackson before snapping. "Protect me from what?!" Jayden stared at me in disbelief. "From HIM!" I rolled my eyes. "Why would I need protecting from Jackson?!" I asked furious. Jackson held my hand and whispered. "Flower calm down-." Jayden interrupted. "You don't touch her! You don't even talk to her!"

"Oh Jayden shut up!" I screamed. Jayden softly spoke. "Alyssa calm down you don't know what you're saying." I let go of Jackson's hand and stepped forward. "I don't know what I'm saying?! Boy you just walked in here like you own the place and started screaming at my guy!" Jayden looked hurt. "Your...guy..?" Jayden spoke brittle. "Yes my guy!" I stated. Mum rushed up to me and pulled me away apologising. "I'm so sorry you see Alyssa has had a few drinks and I think she's a little cranky please excuse us." Mum dragged me away from the crowd.

Jackson folded his arms and gave Jayden a death stare. Jayden broke down trying to scream at Jackson. "How dare you! You took her away from me! You're gonna hurt her! She's too naive! Don't hurt-don't hurt her!" Jackson stood straight and looked at Jayden. "Listen I'm not gonna act like I know you but Alyssa is mine she's my girl she's beautiful, kind and funny. She makes me smile like no one else and she is the only person I trust. I love her and I can tell she loves me too. She's my flower. And you mean nothing to her right now. Congrats bro you ruined her birthday party." And with that Jackson walked away looking like he just accomplished a mission.

"What is the matter with you?" Mum demanded. "What? I didn't do anything!" I complained. "You just screamed at your best friend for a guy you just met today!" I broke out of my mothers grip. "Oh I'm sorry a second ago you were buzzing that we kissed and now you're having second thoughts?!" I looked away to see Jackson staring through the window. "Hey cutie come outside!" I yelled. Mum turned my face towards her. "Don't you dare you're in enough trouble!" I rolled my eyes. "With who? With Jayden?! I don't care about him!" Mum stared at me gut shocked. "Honey you're drunk I think it's enough of birthday time now you need to go to sleep" I screamed. "NOOOOO!!!" I cried and weeped and moaned and complained. "NOOO MUM NOOOOOOOO! Jackson! Stop her! I don't wanna go to sleep!" I cried and cried and cried.

Jackson stepped outside and hugged me he reassured me. I cried into his chest and listened to his strong heartbeat. I breathed to that and calmed down. "There there my flower." I looked up into his eyes and he stared into mine. He lifted me up onto the concrete wall and sat me there before climbing up himself.

"Listen my flower. I don't think your mother thinks very highly of me right now so I have to make this conversation quick. Don't be upset and don't shout okay? But I'm going to go for a few days so this argument will wear off and-." I screamed. "NOOO YOU CAN'T GO YOU CAN'T LEAVE ME!" I sobbed more and more. Jackson wiped my tears and replied. "I'm not leaving you I will never leave you I'm just giving you're mother time to re fresh herself because at the moment she's staring daggers into me from the window." I looked up at the window to see my mum once my mum saw me she walked away and I saw my dad from a distance before the curtain shut. I looked back at Jackson.

"Okay okay so she's not the best mum but that doesn't mean you have to go!" I whined. "Shh stop making a fuss I promise I'll be back." I looked Jackson in the eyes and ached for his kiss. So I kissed him. He kissed back and the kiss grew stronger and more passionate. But he pulled away. "You don't want this." I pulled him back. "Yes I do." It started to rain. "No you don't you're drunk it's the alcohol talking not you." I was hurt by his words and tears stung behind my eyes. "No no no! I don't mean it to hurt you I-." I pushed him back and jumped off the wall scraping my arm. "Sure you didn't!"

I ran and ran I didn't know where I was going but I was running. I could hear Jackson calling after me but it faded away. I ran till my knees became weak I sat down and took a quick break. I looked up in the sky letting the rain drench me. I was surprised that I hadn't slipped in my heels. "I'm still gonna take them off." I spoke to myself. I took my heels off and left them there before running again. Flashbacks of today were hitting me how Jackson went from a sweet guy to not wanting to kiss me. Tears found its way back to my eyes and they fell one by one to 3 at a time. I cried and my vision went blurry I felt dizzy I dropped to the ground the last thing I saw was Jackson running towards me but my eyes closed before he reached me.

I woke up in my bed and in my pyjamas. I was tired and my head ached. I looked around and saw Jackson sleeping in the chair beside my bed he looked so cute when he slept. Then I remembered what happened and panicked because the boy I'm falling for is now leaving. Jackson woke. "Hey hey hey. Calm down it's alright I'm here." Jackson lifted me and hugged me I cried into his chest. Then I thought Jackson has reassured me a lot. As I thought about my birthday it made me tired and I fell asleep in Jackson's arms.
