Back to Alyssa's point of view

I know it's crazy I just broke up with Jackson but why do I feel like my heart is already falling for Jayden. After 14 years why now?

"So uh Alyssa another sandwich?" I looked at the tray of sandwiches I didn't realise I'd eaten that much. "Uhhmm." I laughed. "Don't you want any?" I think Jayden noticed the tone I used. Jayden raised an eyebrow. "You're telling me after eating 8 cheese sandwiches that you're still willing to eat MORE?" I twirled strands of my hair. "I like to... eat?" Jayden burst out laughing. Before I knew it I joined in and we were both lying on the grass laughing our heads off looking at each other with a never ending smile.

*growl*

"Jayden... Did you hear that?" I asked. "A growl yeah." He replied.

*growl*

I looked at Jayden with fear I shot myself up and looked around. Behind us was a wild fox. Me and Jayden bounced up and before we knew it we were being chased by a wild fox. Me and Jayden locked hands immediately and we ran but I couldn't stop screaming. We ran and ran still holding hands not letting go like our life depended on it. Funny it probably did.

We ended up running into the woods and randomly there was a hammock tied onto a tree. But only one. "Quick!" Jayden yelled. He lifted me up and I got a head start on climbing up the tree. The tree was very tall if you fell from the top I presume you would have injuries bad injuries. Eventually we reached the hammock. I climbed onto it and helped Jayden up although I wasn't really much of a help because I nearly fell off myself. Backwards. I was too weak to pull him up. Jayden kicked me back up although it hurt he saved my life then he climbed on the hammock too.

"I'm sorry for kicking you I didn't know what else to do." I guess Jayden could tell it hurt cause there was tears behind my eyes and I was rubbing my back. I tried to form a sentence out but all that came out was heavy breathing. "Heavy breathing..oh no Alyssa please don't!" But the heavy breathing continued. Next thing I knew I was shaking. "Alyssa calm down please!" Jayden was panicking too. Huh best friend goals we're both panicking except I'm having a panic attack. "Alyssa!" Then came the pins and needles in my hands and feet. I leaned into Jayden panicking. "Alyssa." He softly spoke. Jayden took hold of my hands and I faced him he rubbed my hands soothingly and with his mouth took deep breaths. I knew he was showing me how to take deep breaths so slowly I copied.

I was calming down slowly. "Shh okay it's okay Alyssa see you're good." Jayden reassured me. Time went by and 10 minutes later my panic attack stopped. I was just there leaning into Jayden. "You're okay Alyssa you always will be." He squeezed my arm and then rubbed my back. Jayden knew me too well. Although he's never calmed me down from a panic attack before he always knew after a panic attack my spine would start hurting.

I closed my eyes and exhaled. Jayden lied back on the hammock and pulled me back. "Wait." I spoke. I looked down and the fox was walking around in circles. I pushed my hair back and laid on Jayden's chest. We stayed there in complete silence. I could feel Jayden playing with my hair and it made me smile.

"Someone's smiling." Jayden spoke. "Yeah." I looked up to meet Jayden's head. I cracked up with laughter. "What? What are you laughing about? Did I say something?" I finally stopped laughing before replying. "Nope. It's just your face it was upside down and it was really funny!" Jayden stretched his legs. "Only you Alyssa only you." I snuggled back up into Jayden's chest and he kissed me on the head. I closed my eyes and sniffed his shirt. His cologne. Oh his cologne. What the hell is going on with me? I just experienced a break up I should be crying not falling for another guy in the SAME day.

Just when I was caught up in my thoughts I heard the fox growl again. I shot up and Jayden held me back down. "Don't. You'll fall." I leaned my head to the side and the fox was running off deeper into the woods. "Jayden look! The fox is going! We can go!" Jayden got up still holding my waist. I love how he watches out for me. "Well never thought I'd see the day the fox left us." I playfully hit Jayden. "Well duh it would. Foxes don't wait around forever." Jayden smirked.

Some time later...

"Do you want me to walk you inside?" Jayden asked. "Um yes please I don't know if Jackson is still in there." I spoke. "Okay no problem." I knocked on the door and mum answered. "MY GOODNESS! Where have you two been?! I've been worried sick! I rang and rang and rang both of your phones! None of you picked up! That is of course because you both left your phones behind. But oh my goodness come in! You both need a shower!" I stepped inside. "Especially Jayden."

"Hey!" I snickered. "Whaaaattt? Just speaking the truth." Mum closed the front door. "Oh the truth? Let me tell you the truth." I knew exactly what he was about to say and in front of mum. "No thanks imma go shower now bye!" I zoomed upstairs into my en suite and started getting ready for my shower.

"Are you both okay?" Mum asked. "All good. Jayden replied. "We had a picnic and lost track in time but anyway here's your trays and left over food." Mum grabbed the basket and thanked Jayden. Before entering the living room mum spoke. "Okay well you know the drill."

"Yup my spare clothes are still in the same place?" Mum responded. "Yup Alyssa still hasn't realised I've packed spare clothes for you in her wardrobe." Jayden raised both his eyebrows. "She hasn't?!" Mum laughed. "Nope, let's keep it that way shall we?" Jayden agreed. "Yup she'd kill me if she found out I was hiding my clothes in her 'precious space'." Mum and Jayden laughed. "Okay then well you get cleaned up." Jayden nodded.

I gathered my pyjamas and underwear and neatly folded them in my en suite. I ran the shower and waited for it to become warm. I entered my bedroom again and brushed my hair. Just then the door opened. "Jayden?" I spoke. "Alyssa! Um aren't you supposed to be in the shower?" A nervous Jayden asked. "I am but I'm brushing my hair... What are you doing in here?" Jayden rubbed his neck. "I was just grabbing my phone I left it in your room." I smiled and let him off. "Oh okay no problem.

Jayden smiled and grabbed his phone. "WOW! Your mum did ring a lot!" I turned round and tip toed to take a peek at the screen. "How many missed calls did she leave?" Jayden moved his phone away from me. "Jayden?" I moved closer and he moved it further. "Jayden!" I moved closer and he moved the phone even higher. "Jaaaayyddeeeennnnnnn!" Jayden laughed and teased me. "Who's a short girl?" I crossed my arms and stared at him. "Well I never!" Jayden laughed and as much as I tried to keep a straight face I died of laughter.
