Treatment

I opened my eyes to find that I was in a room I didn't recognise it was a cold room and it was quite dark. A few lamps are on and I'm laying in a bed this was not my bed it's too rough. Then it all came back at me. Jackson and Jayden! I heard beeping before...I must be in hospital! I thought to myself.

I got up but my back ached, my head pounded and my throat burned. I fell straight back into bed trying to re cap what I could remember. I didn't get very far before the doctor came inside and turned the light on. "Miss Cate you must rest. You had a panic attack and now you are in hospital as you may have remembered you passed out. Unfortunately this was due to stress and dehydration, which is why you must rest and drink. Here I brought you a bottle of water." I stared at the doctor my head was blank I didn't know what to say and I didn't feel like speaking because even though I have tried, my throat burned through every try so I kept quite and nodded. The doctor stood there awkwardly, gave me the water and walked out saying. "Just a second."

I looked around the room it was just this one bed and lots of chairs with a few tables. On the tables were cards and balloons saying get well soon. I wondered who they were from but my body is absolutely killing me so I laid back and closed my eyes. "Ah here we are. Miss Cate you have a few visitors." The doctor called in the visitors and walked out.

Before I could note down who was here mum ran up to my bed and hugged me. "Ow mum! Ouch ouch ouch! My body...!" I lightly screamed. My body throbbed even more now and my throat seriously burns because I screamed. Everyone was staring at me and I just laid there carefully breathing taking in all the pain I was feeling right now. "I-I'm sorry my darling but oh my gosh I was so worried about you when I heard what happened I freaked and made my way here as fast as I could and-!" I raised my aching hand signalling her to stop and put my hand on my head. I think she got the idea so she stopped. I didn't even realise how everyone had made their around my bed they were around me every way I turned my head. On my left was Jackson soothing me by rubbing my head, next to him was my dad, next to dad was mum, next to mum was Lyra looking like a ghost, and next to Lyra was Jayden.

I didn't need to say anything but I could feel the tension between Jackson and Jayden. Jackson was the first to break the silence. "Alyssa...I am so sorry. I shouldn't have done what I did and even though you probably hate me right now for before and for making your headache worse I just want to tell you that if there is anything you need or want let me know." I smiled and closed my eyes as I turned my head towards Jayden. Jayden held eye contact with me for 3 seconds before walking out. I watched him walk out and I was completely puzzled. Dad looked at me concerned. I could tell they wanted to say something but they stayed silent. I kept hold of my bottle of water while looking at Lyra. She looked tired and her face was dry. I could tell she stayed up the whole night worrying about me. I stretched my hand out giving her the water. She took it and thanked me.

As time went by the doctors ran a few tests and I was allowed out of hospital but he insisted I was to sleep and drink a lot. I scrunched my face up about that because I knew dad was not going to stop handing me cups and cups of water as well as mum telling me to go to sleep. During the car ride home we had to drop Lyra and Jayden off home, Jackson begged my mum if he could stay with me and after a lot of persuading and promises mum agreed. But this meant that it would be me and Jackson home alone because dad was taking mum out for dinner.

Jackson was sitting in the back seats with me I was lying down and my legs were on him. He was drawing circles on my leg. I closed my eyes and Jackson nudged me. "There's no point in resting we're almost at your house." I looked out the window and saw that we were just turning into my street. I was so happy because all I wanted to do was sink in the bath. But when I got home I sinked into the sofa instead. Jackson went to the bathroom and mum and dad were quivering about leaving me with him. "Enough! We can trust Jackson we're running late now let's go!" Mum grabbed dads hand as she opened the door. "Okay bye sweetie rest a lot okay?" I nodded and mum closed the door.

Jackson came out of the bathroom and saw me lying into the sofa so he lifted me up and I complained. "Jackson! My body kills please let me rest!" Jackson chuckled and sat on the sofa before putting me down and pulling my head and chest into him. He slowly and carefully massaged my arms. I softened my body and turned my head I mouthed thank you and I fell into a dreamless sleep. When I woke up I was in my bed and I was so tired I felt refreshed because I could move my bones around but a rush of tiredness swarmed through me making me pull the covers over me even more and wanting to fall asleep. I was thirsty for water and on my desk was a bottle of water and a note.

Hope you liked the massage last night it used up all my energy as I massaged you everywhere and my hands ache even now. I hope you're feeling refreshed and energetic plus here's some water because it's normal to wake feeling tired you just seriously need water in your system

I smiled at the note and drank some water before round 2 of sleeping. I slept all morning and when I woke it was like 10am. I was shocked at how much I had slept I guess my body needed it. I woke up actually feeling refreshed and energised. And I really felt like I needed a filling meal. So I went to the fridge pulled out the bread, cheese and butter and made a grilled cheese. I ate it and felt so good except the gooey, hot cheese had made me lazy so I took some popcorn laid on the sofa and watched Netflix for the rest of the morning.
