Chapter 36: Rumors

Namjoon POV
It's early in the morning and I went to check the kpop news to see if anything is new.

The article that caught my eye was
"Red Velvet and BTS caught on a vacation at Jeju Island??"

I blinked a few times and kept scrolling on my computer.

"The most popular groups, Red Velvet and BTS were spotted at Jeju Island. It seems like both groups were spending vacation together. Some netizens are angry and confused on why both groups didn't announce that they were going to Jeju. Luckily for some others, someone visiting Jeju Island saw Red Velvet and BTS hanging out and exploring around Jeju. The person who wanted to stay anonymous had took photos and videos of the two groups interacting"

"What is it Hyung?" Taehyung walks into me, Seokjin Hyung, and Yoongi Hyung's room

"There's an article of us and Red Velvet" I announced

"Mwo? How?" Taehyung says. He walks over to my computer to take a look. "I thought the staff made sure that no one was there"

"I thought so too..." I said

"Hyung, this can ruin BTS" He says

"And Red Velvet. I'm more worried about them" I said, "Especially if this is their turning point. I knew we shouldn't have gone on this trip"

Wendy POV
Everyone was gathered into the living room. Apparently by Namjoon ah that this is really important.

"So, are you guys aware of what happened earlier this morning?" Namjoon asks

I look at Joohyun ah and she looked at me back. It looks like she knows what happened. But I guess the others doesn't know besides Joohyun ah and Namjoon ah.

"Red Velvet and BTS were caught hanging out at Jeju" Namjoon said

Everyone's eyes widen.

"This... How?" I said

Joohyun ah jumps in, "Someone took pictures and videos of both groups interacting"

Seulgi gasps, "I knew it! Me and Joohyun ah knew someone was staring at us"

"Aish! I knew we shouldn't have gotten on this trip!" I said in frustration

"But it's honestly not a surprise" I said, "This isn't really relevant but, in any video if it has something to do with BTS or not, fans starts being up one of the BTS members. Like for an example how Seulgi ah posted a caption of the same thing Jimin ah did and all the fans were bringing up Jimin"

"Well, what are we going to do?" Joy says

"Well, there's nothing we can do" Irene says

"Is manager Unnie going to visit us today?" Yeri asks uneasy

"I doubt she and staff will fly all the way here just to talk to us. She'll probably talk to us when we get back to Seoul" Irene says

Yeri POV
"Oh shit our manager is calling" Wendy says

Joohyun Unnie accepts the phone call. "Yoboseyo?"

Manager: What in the hell were you guys thinking?! I let you guys go on a trip with BTS, but you guys had to get into rumors?!
Joohyun; We're sorry. We didn't tend to make these rumors happen
Manager: *sighs*
Manager: I honestly don't know what to do... I'm very disappointed in you Irene, since you're the oldest, I expected more from you
Joohyun: On my behalf... I'm so sorry...
Manager: Please, please watch out for rumors next time. After the trip is over, I think it'll be much better if you guys move out sooner
Joohyun: Mwo?
Manager: Possibly... I think it'll be better and help the situation a bit more... Maybe in the future, not to interact at all. It'll help both groups
Joohyun: Unnie, you-- can't do that
Manager: If you guys continue to interact and more rumors goes out, all of your careers are over. Already, all five of your careers are on the line
Joohyun: I understand...
Manager: Thank you... Please tell the girls
Joohyun: Ne... Bye...
Manager: I'll see you girls in Seoul. Bye

Joohyun Unnie then ended the call. Everyone looked at her, worried. In the look of her expression, she feels guilty and sad for us.

"Boys, I need to speak to the girls alone... It's our group problem" Joohyun said

The boys nod and went outside. After Jungkook walked outside, he closed the door behind him.

"Girls, after the trip is over, we're moving out earlier" Joohyun says in sadness

"Mwo? Unnie--" I said

"Can we still interact with the Oppas?" Joy asks

Joohyun Unnie shook her head "Aniyo... Manager Unnie told us that we can't even interact with them in public"

"Wait... What about the trip?" Seulgi asks

"Please cherish these few days left of the trip... After that... We're not gonna interact with BTS" Joohyun says

"This sucks Unnie" I said sniffing

"It's what we have to do Yerim... I'm sorry..." Joohyun says as she pats my back

I'm sorry I made this chapter really sad, crappy, and messed up. Please don't get mad at me. Hopefully the future chapters wouldn't be this shitty 😅
