Today was the day for Inksation's opening party. I was excited that my dream had finally come true and I was now the owner of a tattoo shop.
About three years ago during my senior year of college, I had the opportunity to intern with a top tattoo artist in the city. He taught me everything that I now know about tattoos and the art of tattoos. I grew to love it in a short period of time. I didn't even make the decision to become a tattoo artist until the moment I had held the gun in my hand and created the art on a fake arm.
When I had finally had the chance to work on real live people, it was over and I had found my calling. It took me a minute to get Inksation started but now it was finally up and ready to run.
My phone rang as soon as I grabbed it from the charger. It was Quan. Since the other day, I had decided to stop playing and talk to him. Our conversations were more natural and I hadn't seen him since the day that we had met up to talk at Miss Tootsie's.
"911 what's your emergency?"
"Yeah, uh, my heart has been stolen." Quan spoke into the phone.
"Okay sir, do you have any idea who stole it?"
"Yes."
"Then go and ask them for it back." I simply stated. "Better yet, take that shit back."
"Siani give me my heart back."
I rolled my eyes and laughed. "Stop the games. Wassup?"
"Just calling to see if you need me to do anything for your big opening."
"Um," I had to think about it for a second. "Oh! If you can pick up the food that I ordered from Buffalo Wild Wings then that would be great. It's already paid for so just give my name and that's all."
"Who orders BWW for an event?"
"It's a tattoo shop. What should I have gotten? Caviar and escargot?"
"I mean if that works." I could imagine him smirking as he said that. "You should be like Black Ink Crew and get some strippers."
"oh you're trying to get me to turn my shop into the same way as you and Chris' apartment when y'all would have the 'Bottles & Bitches' parties?"
"Maybe. We need the liquor poppin'."
"I only drink wine, the hard liquor makes me ratchet and I am no longer ratchet." I tossed my hair to the side as if he could see me doing so.
"Siani is bad and bougie, cooking up dope with the uzi." He rapped.
"I will see you later on." I shook my head.
"Okay. See you."

By the time that 8 o'clock had rolled around, people were crowded in the shop. The turnout was much more than I had expected and I had already booked clients for the upcoming week.
I was standing around talking to Jay, Shy, Chris and Quan when I saw Sin walk in. My whole face lit up because he had text me earlier and said that he couldn't make it because of his job.
"I thought you weren't coming." I said to him with my hand on my hip.
"They let me out early."
Before I could say anything back Jay was over by the two of us. "Jay." He introduced himself, holding his hand out. Sin shook it.
"Sincere."
"Sin this is my brother." I spoke.
"Nice meeting you." Sin said.
