CALEB
i woke up in a particularly good mood this morning, which rarely ever happens. i shrugged it off and went to brush my teeth. after i finished that, i fixed my hair and put on a little cologne.
i changed and put my glasses on, grabbing my phone, and walking out of my room. i greeted my mom with a smile and she gave me a weird look.
"someone is oddly happy today." she said and i nodded, putting my shoes on and telling her goodbye.
"your sister is stopping by today so make sure you're home. you can invite micah over too, i bet she'd be delighted to meet him." my mom said to me before i left.
the thought of my sister coming over was something i was extremely ecstatic about, plus the thought of micha made me even happier.i think i liked him a lot, but i've only ever been in one relationship so i don't know how these feelings work. i walked up to his house and knocked on the door. i had a wide smile on my face until i saw his mom answer the door. she gave me bad vibes.
"well hello caleb." she said in a bitter tone with a cigarette in her hand. i tried not to grimace as she blew smoke in my face when i replied with a hello.
"is micah, i mean michelle, still here? we were supposed to walk to school together this morning." i smiled at her, she was not going to know she phased me. she rolled her eyes and turned her head around yelling.
"travis, get your sister up! her friend is here!" i cringed slightly when she called micha a female. she needed to understand micha was a boy, not a female.
"oh fuck it i'll do it!" she shouted and stormed off as travis came into the doorway. he smiled at me and i returned the gesture.
"would you like to come in?" he asked i shook my head no. he looked at me oddly and i started to explain why, until i heard a loud scream.
"mom! what the fuck!" i knew that voice very well, and it was micha. i turned to travis in horror and he ran down the hallway to where the sound came from. i was in absolute shock when i heard travis scream. "mom get out, get out now!"
as soon as he yelled, tyler came running out of the house, running into me again. i laughed to myself, "well we meet again." he nods and smiles at me, he's short for an eight year old but he's pretty adorable.
"ignore them, i think you should just head to school. forget you heard any of this okay? it's better for you." tyler told me with a stern look on his face, i nodded and waved goodbye as i headed for school.
and this day soon became a living hell.

"caleb!" my older sister, monica, said and engulfed me into a hug. i hugged back and smiled at her once she pulled away. "how are you? how's T going? any new lovers?" she said, winking at me when she said the last part.
i rolled my eyes and sat down next to her, "well i'm doing great, i started school again so that's neat. T is going amazing and i can already tell that my voice has gotten deeper and nope. i'm single and i am definitely not ready to mingle!"
she laughed and punched me lightly as my mom walked in with a smile on her face. "where's micha? i thought he was going to join us?" my mom asked and i shook my head, sadly. my sister raised her eyebrow in a "please explain" type of way.
i sighed, "he wasn't at school so i'm assuming he's sick or just not feeling well. and monica, micha is my friend. he's just like me." she nodded and my mom sighed sadly.
"i really wanted you to meet him. he's such a nice young boy." my mom said and i smiled, agreeing with her.
he was such an amazing person, he didn't deserve anything that came his way.
