January 2nd

Family and friends came to see the babies today.
They all charged in at the same time.
Mom, Dad, Brianna, Chloe, Zoey, Marcus, Theo, Marcy, Violet, Aleks, Antony, my grandparents and Brandon's grandparents.
Honestly, 15 people. What hospital lets 15 people into a room at the same time!? Not to mention the fact that Brandon, the triplets and I were already there. Make that 20 people.

They all froze on the spot when they saw the girls.
"3?" Mom managed to whisper after like a minute.
"I honestly don't know how no one noticed that my baby bump was quite big for only one baby", I rolled my eyes.
"Aww there are my three girls. Felicity Adelide, Faith Alexandra and Flora Anastasia," Betty (Brandon's grandma) cooed as she came to look at the girls. Their hair was thick, dark brown just like Brandon's, my hair is brown too but not that thick and dark. Their eyes were green like mine though.
"You knew about this the whole time?" I ask her.
"I'm Betty Roberts and there is nothing that you can hide from me", she laughs.
Yeah, I guess that is true, the woman called to congratulate Brandon and I on our engagement a minute after it happened. And we were the only people on the beach when it happened. That is kind of creepy I guess. Sometimes, I wonder does she have some security cameras filming us.

Then, after like an hour of hugging (and mom crying again) they finally left. Don't get me wrong, I love my family and friends but to have so many people making a fuss of you in one (quite small) room at the same time can be exhausting. Unfortunately, Brandon had to go too as he needed to check on things at Fuzzy Friends and go grocery shopping. He said that he'll be back to check how I'm doing in about 3 hours.

Then it was just me and my baby trio. I looked at their beautiful little faces as they slept. Honestly, they are very quiet and calm for one-day-old babies.
And I'm really, really grateful for that.

But my alone time with the girls was interrupted when some nurses came to take them for a check-up.
So, having nothing better to do and being the tired mama that I am, I fell asleep, taking in as much of the silence as possible, while it lasted.
