January 7th
Daniel called me today, he told me what he is planning for the proposal.
He wrote a song about her and he wants to have our band "Actually, I'm Not Really Sure Yet" preform it for her. Then when it finishes he's going to propose.
He said that he wrote the song a while ago when he first started dating MacKenzie.
It's called: That September Night
That September night,
One look into your bright blue eyes,
Was all it took,
For me to smile.
You were a unaware,
And I was scared,
So we helped eachother get out of our shells.
Chorus:
That September night,
Was cold until you came around,
And I feel lucky,
To know a girl like you,
To be able to see your smile,
Every single day.
And I'm thankful for
Having you,
I wouldn't have it
Any other way.
You seemed to hold the key,
To my locked heart,
So you opened it up,
You opened up my heart.
A beautiful girl,
With a beautiful laugh.
Chorus ×2
I feel lucky everyday,
That I met you,
That September night.
I told Daniel that I'll tell the band about it.
It seems like a great idea.
MacKenzie will love it.
It looks like Faith is crying, and I may need to change her diaper.
I change Faith's diaper and try to put her back to sleep but she's not in the mood for sleeping, so I end up reading Little Red Riding Hood to her. Yeah, I know, she's only a week old, but she laughs at it nevertheless like she understands what I'm reading.
That gets me thinking, does she actually understand me, or is she just laughing at my odd facial expressions as I read?
I don't know, maybe it's a bit of both.
Soon enough Flora wakes up, and then Felicity.
So I end up reading Little Red Riding Hood again and now they are all laughing.
Their laughs sound so cute!
It melts my heart.
Suddenly Brandon walks in.
"Hey Nikki, Felicity, Faith, Flora I'm back!"
I give him a hug.
"Listen Brandon, I met MacKenzie and her boyfriend yesterday. MacKenzie is a really nice person now and her boyfriend seems nice too.
He told me he wants to propose to MacKenzie.
He asked me to help him make it really special.
He wants our band to sing this song he wrote for her." I say as I give him a piece of paper with the lyrics of the song written on it.
"Are you willing to help with the song?" I ask him.
"Of course, but I think it would be great to invite MacKenzie and her boyfriend for dinner some day, to get to talk to them, you know talk about the old times and have a laugh."
"Yeah, I think that that's a good idea. I didn't get to talk to them much yesterday and I feel like there's quite a bit that we should catch up on."
"Does the rest of the band know about the song?"
"Not yet, I'm going to call them today to tell them about it."
Brandon opened the piece of paper with the lyrics and read them.
"That's really nice."
"Remember that song that we wrote together when we fist started dating?"
"Oh yeah! What was it called?"
"I don't think that it had a name."
"Yeah, now that I think of it, it didn't have a name."
Hey guys! So I just wanted to say that the song "That September Night" is my original song so please do not copy it. Also the song that Brandon and Nikki are talking about is in my book "Branikki A New Beginning Part 1" in a chapter called "The Secret Is In The Song"
