Dork Diaries - A New Beginning Part 2

First Practice

January 10th

It's Sunday today.
We went to church in the morning and then we dropped the girls off at mom's and dad's because we have to have band practice for the song that Daniel wrote for MacKenzie.

The practice was taking place in Marcus' and Chloe's house.
The whole band would be there.

Even though Marcy, Aleksander and Antony aren't part of the band we asked them to do this song with us. Marcy will be singing and Antony and Aleksander will be both playing on the violin.

"Hey guys!" I say as I enter the house.

I'm actually suite surprised to see Daniel in the house too.

"I thought that you were going back to L.A. today", I say.

"We've actually decided to stay here for two more weeks", Daniel replies, "And I need to teach you guys the music to the song."

So Daniel started teaching us and we started trying to get the song right.

"No, no Chloe, sing a little bit higher, Nikki hold that last note a lityle longer, Aleksander stop zoning out, Brandon keep up with the beat of the music, Marcy sing a little louder, Zoey sing a lityle quieter, Violet you're supposed to play a B not an A at the  the end of the third line, Antony you need to play a bit faster, Marcus you need to slow down on that guitar and Theo you need to focus on coming in on the right time." Daniel told us all at the end of the practice.

Yeah, the guy is quite a big critic when it comes to this song, but that's probably because it's so special to him and he wants it to be perfect.

Thankfully we all managed to survive the first practice, only a couple more left to go.

Not that I don't like singing with my band or anything, but we haven't been doing anything band related for such a long time that it's harder to work together with the music.

Hard or not, I still enjoy doing it as much as I did in middle school and high school.
