Brandon came rushing in from work today.

"Nikki! Come here!"

"What's wrong?"

"Look what I found on the side of the road!"

Brandon pointed to a cardboard box. I looked inside the box and there was a little puppy inside!

The puppy had mud all over its fur.

"Did you check is he healthy?" I asked.

"I found him about five minutes away from our house. By the little forest. I quickly took him to the car and drove here straight away."

"So it's a boy."

"Yeah. I'll go get the spare veterinary equipment and check up on him."

"Ok."

Brandon left and I thought to myself, who would leave a puppy all alone in the woods?
And why would they di that anyway?

I sat their sipping my tea while those thoughts took over my brain, searching for an answer but not finding a reasonable one.

If you ended up not wanting your puppy for some reason, shouldn't you at least put it in an animal shelter?

I must've been lost in those thoughts for quite a while because suddenly I heard Brandon's voice.

"He looks healthy, just very hungry and thirsty. And by the looks of it he's about two months old."

"That's great. We should better wash him."

"We don't have any dog shampoo."

"Just quickly pop in to Fuzzy Friends and get some while I take care of him."

"Alright. I'll be back in around fifteen minutes", said Brandon before leaving.

"Hey cute little boy! Your so adorable!" I cooed.  He looked like a Pomeranian but I couldn't be sure because of the mud.

"Its a good thing that Brandon"- I was cut off by crying.
I quickly dashed upstairs and saw that Faith was crying.

"Baby, what's wrong?" I asked.

I just put the girls to sleep, she must've heard some noise or something and woken up.

I put her to sleep in  a record time of one minute and went downstairs.

I couldn't find the puppy.

"Where are you?" I called.

I searched the whole house yet I couldn't find him.

Brandon walked in to the kitchen and saw me look around desperately.

"What's wrong?"

"I lost the puppy."

Brandon laughed I looked up at him and in his arms was the puppy.

"Where was he?"

"I don't know, he just came running to me when I opened the door."

We washed the puppy and it turned out that he was a snow-white, very fluffy, Pomeranian.

"Can we keep him?" Brandon asked and looked at Mr with puppy eyes.

"I don't know Brandon, three kids and a puppy?"

"Pretty please with rainbow  sprinkles and cherry on top?"

"Fine."

"Thank you so much! I love you!"

"So what do you want to call him?"

"How about Teddy?"

"That suits him really well."
