Dork Diaries - A New Beginning Part 2

Mission MacKenzie

January 6th

I decided to take the girls to the park in their buggy since the weather was quite warm for January. And I also felt like I needed to get some fresh air.

When we got to the park, I noticed a man and woman laughing.
As I came closer, I realised that it was... MacKenzie and her boyfriend.

"MacKenzie!" I called out.

She looked at me for a while before smiling.

"Nikki!"

She ran up to me and gave me a tight hug.

"It's been so long!" she said and then she noticed the triplets, "No way! Are they yours?"

"Yeah" I smiled.

"Brandon's and yours right?"

"How did you know?"

"Please, the way you guys always looked at eachother made it quite obvious that it was meant to be, plus they literally look like you and Brandon in one."

"Is that your boyfriend?"

"Yeah, that's Daniel, the guy who made me realise that I was wrong about you when we were younger and that you can't force someone to love you, like I tried doing with Brandon back when we were in school. I'm also really sorry for giving you a hard time at school."

"It's fine MacKenzie, we were young back then, it doesn't matter anymore, you found your love and I found mine, and now we're all happy."

"You're right. What are their names?"

"Felicity Adeline, Faith Alexandra and Flora Anastasia."

"That's so cute!"

"Anyway MacKenzie, what brings you and Daniel here? I thought you lived in Los Angeles."

"Yeah we do but I really wanted to show Daniel my home town"

Then Daniel came up to us.

"Are you MacKenzie's friend?" He asked.

"I guess that we can finally say that after all those years." I laughed.

"Can I talk to you for a minute?"

"Sure."

He pulled me aside where MacKenzie couldn't hear.

"I need your help", he said.

"What's wrong?"

"I love Mac, she's a great woman and I would love to propose to her soon, but I want to make it really special and I thought that since you're her friend you could help me."

"Sure thing. I'll give you my number and you can call me later so we can start planning."

We then exchanged numbers and went back to MacKenzie who was playing peek-a-boo with the triplets.

"It was really nice to meet you guys, but I have to go home to feed the girls. Bye!"

"Bye Nikki!"

I was really excited to help Daniel make the proposal special.
