Simon's POV
Lizzie was in a very emotional state at the time. She had been for a couple days. I was told to watch her, and I haven't left her side once. I actually had to pee in the bushes close to where we were sitting cause I didn't want to leave her. She's been having nightmares and she has woken up many times crying and screaming. Ralph and I are very worried, because she might have drank ocean water, and it's possible she could die. If that happened, I don't know what I'd do with myself.
'Are you alright?' I asked Lizzie quietly. She shook her head slowly. She suddenly burst out crying. 'RALPH!!!' I screamed for help. I saw Ralph sprint towards me and bend down beside Lizzie.
'Shhh, shhhhh.' He quietly soothed her. I watched as she calmed down and he took her in his arms. 'I still don't know what's wrong with her. She might have drank sea water, but I doubt that.'
'She might just be sick.' Said Piggy, wandering over to us. He bent down and looked at her closely. 'Mhmm... Uhuh...' He felt her forehead with the back of his hand. 'Yep, she's just sick. Got's a fever, should get better soon.' He explained.
'How did you get so good at doctoring Piggy?' Ralph asked, genuinely curious.
'I took a health class one year, I learned a lot.' He said. We both nodded and looked at Lizzie.
'Hear that? You've gotten sick! I'm going to take as best care of you as i can to make you feel better okay?' I told Lizzie. She looked up and nodded, slightly smiling.
'You sure you can watch her?' Ralph questioned me.
'Why wouldn't I be? I'll be fine, don't worry.' I reassured him.
'Okay...' He trailed.
'What? Do you not think that I'm good enough to do that? Just because I'm younger doesn't mean that I cant watch her! I'm the one who popped her leg back into place!' I reminded him.
'Well it's just that you left her alone twice and she went off with Jack!' Ralph retorted.
'Well I just wont leave her alone then!' I vowed.
'Alright, but you keep your promise.' Ralph finished. He nodded and turned to leave. 'And Lizzie? Go to sleep.' Ralph told her. She nodded sleepily and leaned her head in my lap. I looked at my surroundings, and saw that the sun was shining directly on Lizzie, which wasn't good considering she was sick, and she didn't need to get sun stroke.
'Hey Liz? I'm going to move you so your not in the sun okay?' I commanded.
'Mmmm, but I like the sun.' She mumbled.
'I know, but we cant let you get sun stroke. Come on!' I said while lifting her up and carrying her somewhere shady. 'If we want you to feel better, we have to keep you out of the sun and heat. Or else you might get even worse.' I explained whilst setting her down on the cool sand.
'Hey pretty boy! What you doin' with my girl?' Jack demanded.
'I'm making sure she's getting better. She's sick.' I answered.
'Well let me take care of her the right way.' He ordered.
'Ralph told me to keep her away from you, and that's exactly what I'm going to do.' I returned.
'She told me she is on my side!' Those words put me in shock. I stood there, staring, mouth agape. I couldn't believe that she would do that to us. To me. She was on Jack's side, and there was nothing I could do about it. I felt sick to my stomach, and I fell onto my side.
'S-she what?'
