The last bell rang, and I found myself walking to the school's parking lot.

I wonder which thing we'll finish today, I hope I added something that includes food. I'm starving.

There he was, Phoenix Brightly, sitting on the seat of his probably-possible- death machine. Also called a bike.

"Hey there sunshine, hop on. It's gonna be a long day" He said and threw me his helmet. I swear this boy needs to get another helmet if he'll be driving me more often.

"Sunshine? I thought I was sugar" I teased him, he probably didn't see this one coming, so he simply smirked at me and said "You're everything sweet on this earth to me, Violet Skyes"

Don't blush Violet. Don't you dare blush

I quickly wore the helmet and acted like he said nothing, what the hell was that?

The engine roared so loud, and we took off. The wind was brushing through my clothes and sky has never been bluer.

I tried to check our surroundings, maybe I'll figure out where we're going..

No, I have no idea where we are.

A few minutes later, we stopped in front of a diner. Johnny's Burgers And Shakes.

"Oh my goodness Phoenix, how do you know this place? It looks like it came straight out off an old 80's movie" I said in awe. This place had it all, the cliché parking lot with a couple of teens making out, the big sign of the diner's name, everything.

"Dylan's grandfather owns this place. Dylan, Asher and I come here a lot" he said and took off the helmet from my head. Dammit Violet, this is the second time he takes it off for you. Focus more.

"Come on, we have other plans" He added then grabbed my hand. He's holding my hand.

I took my hands off from his. This is not right. I can't lead him on like this.

Shut up Violet, he probably grabbed your hand in a friendly way.

When I took my hand off. his smile faded, but he recovered quickly and put his hands in his pocket. If I wasn't staring at his face the whole time, I wouldn't notice his smile fading.

But I did.

He opened the door for me, "Ladies first"

I gave him an awkward smile and thanked him. God, why do I make everything so weird?

An old man came up to us and hugged him, "Phoenix son, I haven't seen you in so long. And who is this pretty young girl that you brought?" I guess this is Dylan's grandfather, Dylan kinda looks like him, same brown eyes, same dimple on the left cheek.

"Johnny, my man. This is my friend, Violet. Violet, this is Johnny Robinson. the owner of this place and Dylan's grandpa" I guessed right.

"Hi Mr. Robinson, very delightful to meet you" I said and held my hand to shake his.

"Please call me Johnny, dear. It's nice to see one of the boys finally bringing a lovely girl here" He sweetly said. Dylan must be lucky to have Johnny as a grandfather, he seems like a nice guy.

"Johnny, I told you she's my friend, now can we please get a booth before I starve to death? I'm craving one of your signature burgers" Phoenix said.

"I don't buy that 'we're friends' crap, you two come back again in like, maybe two weeks, and you'll see me standing here saying 'I told you so'" I blushed so hard, and they both saw it.

Johnny laughed "You go kids, I won't bother you no more. Pick any booth that you want and I'll send a waiter" He said and patted my shoulder then left to greet other people.
