I woke up to a room that's probably not mine.

It was white, everything was entirely white.

Where am I?

I looked through the room, and tried to take in my surroundings.

I'm in the hospital.

I tried to remember what happened, and all I recollected was me crying and yelling before everything went black.

I was about to get up until my door was opened, a tall old man came in, who I think is my doctor, and a petite woman behind him, who I think is the nurse.

"I see you're awake now, how are you holding, Ms Skyes?" He asked me while going through a couple of papers, then telling the nurse to prepare the pills.

"My head hurts.. other than that, I think I'm fine" I said.

"I'm sure it does, it was a tough fall, I believe you landed straight on your head. But don't worry, nothing major." He replied, still going through the papers.

"I've done some tests to see what the cause of the fainting was, and we've found out that you're struggling with Leukemia, and currently taking your tablets, am I right?"

"Yes, you are.." I answered.

"And how are you doing with your pills, Ms Skyes?" He asked, setting the papers down and taking some tablets and a syringe with a needle from the nurse.

"I take them, I just forgot to take them today.." I answered truthfully.

He took my arm, then searched for a vein. Once he found one he cleansed the area and got the needle ready.

"You're fortunate that the side effects didn't fully kick in.. Please be more cautious with taking your medicine" He said

"I'll leave you now, but I'll come back in a few to see how you're doing." He said, getting up and adjusting the machines that are connected to my arm.

"When am I getting out if I may ask?"

"You'd probably leave today once the medicine starts working in your system. If not, then you might spend the night here just in case" He said and gave me a friendly smile, he's a genuine old man. And he also reminds me of Johnny, Dylan's grandfather.

"Okay.. has anyone came here for me?" I asked.

"Yes, I believe your friends are out there, we also had to call your mother once we found out about your state and condition. I'll send her in first in a few minutes" He said and soon left the room, the nurse cleaned up the stuff and gave me a smile, then left too.

I hope Phoenix isn't waiting outside with them, I wouldn't know what to say to him..

I spent the past fifteen minutes staring at the wall, wondering when they'll let my mom in.

After a few more minutes, I saw her come in.

Her eyes were bloodshot, she looked exhausted and pale. "Honey, are you okay? How are you feeling?" She asked and her voice was shaking.

"I'm fine mom, the doctor said that it might be because I forgot to take my medicine" I explained.

"Honey please can we stop this? You're getting weaker day after day, please let's just start chemo before it's too late.. Even this doctor says that it'd be better to start soon.." She held my hand, practically begging me to do the chemotherapy.

"It's already too late, mom" I told her, I wanted to be honest, but I also didn't want to make her sad.

"Don't talk like that, Violet. It's never t-"
