"...I-I wanted to hand you these." he says, turning to each of us and handing an envelope with our name on it.

"Thank you!" I say as soon as I get it.

"Wait! Open them in your rooms please."

"Okay." we reply in unison. Then we had to head back to our seats, and hope that no one asked about it.

"Because of this outburst, breakfast will be taken in rooms." Chrissy announces. "Thank you for your flexibility."

Yes! That means no one will ask about the letter, yet.

"I think I will pass on breakfast today." I tell Lauren and Kelsey. "I will be back before lunch!"

I quickly change into some of my clothes, leggings with a mesh cutout, black nikes, a bright pink sports bra, and a black kinda showy tank top. I walk to the stairs and start running up them, how else am I supposed to get up four flights of stairs quickly?

I stop at the seventh floor and go to room number five. Wow, my two favorite numbers. I decided last night I need to get back into gymnastics. This must be a sign.

I start by stretching. Right leg. Left leg. Right arm. Left arm.

"Okay," I say quietly to myself. I tug off my tank top and get to work.

"It's just a cartwheel Saige. Only a cartwheel." I push off, then apply pressure to my hands and push back up, even putting my hands in the air like you do at shows. "Not bad, not bad at all." I progress into a series of cartwheels just flipping over and over and over again. I work on my cartwheels and forget about whatever that note holds or how intense this morning was. I take out my confusion in my landings, worry in my posture, and my frustration in my form. If he seemed to like me, why doesn't he look at me or asked me out yet? If he didn't like me, then why am I here? How is Abigail? Is she ready for her bone marrow transplant? Will it work? What is Thomas doing?

I start doing running cartwheels around the nice floor area they have.

The sports level is really cool in the palace. They have an open area, so you can see everyone on the level. They have a dance and gymnastics are, a baseball/softball area, a hockey/figure skating are, and a soccer area. They have a real basketball court, baseball diamond, softball diamond, soccer/lacrosse/field hockey/football field, and skating rink outside. They just have mini areas here to practice specifics. But the dance and gymnastics area is almost half of the floor! They even have beam and vault here! I am the only one in here right now. Most of the girls here are more interested in other things, so they spend more time in the art, drama, and music floor. The gymnastics area is fairly new, they added it two generations ago, when the former queen was a little girl. She loved to dance. Queen Katjia is the last royal girl that has been born in the palace. She ended up getting to rule and had a guy selection, even though she had younger brothers. Times change, rules change, I guess.

After I did many many many cartwheels I switch it up and start doing walk overs and round offs. Then mixing those three together and creating my own routine.

" Troy, listen
I gotta say what's on my mind
Something about us
Doesn't seem right these days
Life keeps getting in the way
Whenever we try, somehow the plan
Is always rearranged
It's so hard to say
But I've gotta do what's best for me
You'll be okay
I've got to move on and be who I am
I just don't belong here, I hope you understand
We might find our place in this world someday
But at least for now, I gotta go my own way"

I dance around singing my heart out occasionally doing some of my routine. Between that and the music I was blasting and singing along too, I barely noticed I had company.

He claps and walks over to me, "that was good, and I am not just talking about your gymnastics skills."

"Thanks..." I respond shyly. "I am really not that good, I just got back to doing it after maybe 5 years or so..."

"Please it doesn't look like you have taken a break."

"Thanks again..." then I realize I am not quite wearing a shirt. "I should probably get my shirt..."

"No it's fine, I just wanted to stop by and complement you. Plus you don't look bad..."

I look at him wide eyed. "Okay then."

"Have you by any chance looked at the note yet?"

"Oh no, not yet. I am just working out some worry and confusion right now. I was going to look at it before lunch."

"Okay well never mind then."

"Okay... Do you happen to have a watch or phone on you?"

"Yes."

"What's the time?"

"About 9:45..."

"Shoot!" I mutter, running to grab my pink gym bag. "I am going to be late for the history lesson today!" I quickly undo my grips and wraps and throw them in the bag.

"You understand you don't have to go, right?"

"I never got the chance to go to college, it was too expensive and inconvenient. This is as close as I am going to get." I shout back at him.

I run out leaving him shocked.
