"Miss Saige, I think it's about time we have a little chat." He says, making me nervous solely by the height difference.

"Cut all the cameras, point them down." Will commands. "You all may go." He says pointing to the other Elite, and they scurry out, throwing me sympathetic and worried looks.

"You two Evelyn," The King says motioning to the Queen.

"I say." She says firmly. "Jason, you can't push me out anymore. I am listening and I am staying."

"Fine but you are going to be unhappy." He mutters. "Don't think I know what you are up too."

"Excuse me?" I say astonished. "I mean, excuse me your Majesty, I do not understand."

"I can see all those tricks you are pulling under your sleeve. Telling them to fight back, what are you thinking? Don't think I didn't look over whatever stunt you pulled with the Italiens."

"It's not my fault they really like me." I say, in a whatever tone.

"Don't think you can give me attitude either. I am the King and will be well respected. You will learn to keep your mouth shut and do what I say. Or their will be consequences. I have more power in this little game than you think." He says, whispering the last sentence into my ear. It makes me shiver for all the wrong reasons.

"Father no. That will not happen. She has not done anything wrong!" Will says.

"William would you like to discuss something with me in my office? Or should I discuss it with Saige here?" King Jason asks, with a sly grin. Oh no, he can't hit Will. He can't hit me!

"NO! Stop trying to control me. For once this is something I have been in charge of, and you can't redo my choices!" Will shouts.

"Why are you here Saige? You said it yourself. The palace is very nice. Caught up in the fame and attention? Caught up in the crown? Or caught up with the sum of money?" The King asks. I break down into tears.

"That went too far Jason." The Queen says, patting my shoulder, and looking at him sternly.

"Evelyn shut up and let me deal with this, if she can't even answer a stupid question then why is she-."

"I. Love. Him." I speak up, ready to defend myself. "As long as Will wants me here I want to stay."

"You can stay here on three conditions."

"Father that's observed and not your choice to make."

"Son I could have her out of the castle in-"

"No you cannot! This is my Selection! Don't think you can swoop in and mess it up."

"You cannot revive pay anymore, you have to be quiet when they ask you about the rebels and you have to listen to what I say."

"No you can't just-"

"I will do it. I love Will, and if doing this will let me stay, I will do it." I kiss Will on the cheek, "I love you, but the more you fight the worse it gets. I'll be okay." I say, running out to my room.

"You okay?" Holiday and Peyton ask, trying to comfort me.

"He hates me and now Prince William will never be able to chose me." I sob. "I thought we had something."

"So did all of us," Peyton says. "He clearly loves you Saige, and he will try his best to choose you. We all know it." Holiday nods in agreement.

knock knock

"Come in." Peyton answers.

"Hello ladies." Will calls.

"Hello Prince William." We chorus back.

"Do you mind if I steal Saige for a couple minutes?"

"Not at all, just let us clean her up a bit..." Holiday says, motioning to my smudged mascara.

"It's okay..." I say.

"It's really not." Peyton says, and we start to laugh.

"Meet me up on the fourth floor, when you get the chance." He says.

"Okay bye." He gives me a kiss on the cheek.

"Bye. Talk to you all soon."
*******************************************
Will leans up against the door, waiting for me, watching me come down the hall.

"Hey."

"Hi Will, what's the surprise you had?"

"You will find out soon. I have two things to show you."

"Two? Aren't I just a lucky girl."

"Yep, first one is here." He opens the door to his left, revealing a huge navy room.

"Is this-?"

"Yep, it's my room." He says looking off to the side. "A few other girls have seen it, and it's time you have too."

"Wow." I say, walking slowly on his wall of photos. "These are so good. Oh look! There I am!" I point to a photo of me and Abigail hugging at Ladies Tea. "Here I am again!" My selected photo. "Oh and this one!" One of me walking down a hallway alone, very carefully. I don't remember that one. "And this one!" I point to the group photo of all fifty selected. "Oh and this one!" A photo taken by a magazine photographer, but somehow he has it. "Did you take some of these?"

"Yes, most of them. The ones for some of the Selected I had to ask for. But yea, most of them."

"They are so good!" I marvel over ones of flowers, gardens, and a baseball. And a crown, and the thrones.

"This isn't the best part..."

"Huh?"

"Come over here." He says, leading me to a door, then throwing it open. It reveals a glossy white bathroom, although pretty I am confused. "Wrong door, wrong door." He mutters. "This one." He opens a door revealing a similar one to his, but clearly made for a girl.

"Is this-?"

"The Princess suite, yes. Can't have her too far away from me, but rules are we can't share a bedroom. Not yet." He says throwing a wink at me. I am amazed, but unsure of why he showed it to me. Is he planning on choosing me? Is he planning an elimination?

"It's beautiful." I say, admiring it. I walk over to the window, with its nice spot to sit in, almost a built in bench where I could read.

"It will be yours soon, hopefully." He mutters under his breath. I heard him, but I don't let him know.
