okay, this alternate ending happens during the second family weekend, which is about two weeks before Will makes his final choice. ignore this ending in the ending with Ryan.

"Will, can I talk to you in the other room for a bit?"

"Sure Saige, what's up?"

"I just want to talk about us." I say, as calmly as I can.

"Okay." He looks a bit nervous.

"I don't think I like Will anymore." I blurt. His eyes widen. "Its tapered off for a bit now, he seems to be getting closer to Holiday, with all the rebel and international things going on, the King hates me too, and being here with you makes me realize something." I pause swallowing. "I think I like you Thomas."

"Well that's a relief, I like you too Saige." He says flashing a classic Thomas smile. "I was staring to imagine your wedding with him, but I could not without getting angry. I don't want to make a speech at your wedding Saige, I want to be kissing you after we say 'I do'."

"I think I should take myself out of the competition."

"I don't want to force you into any decision. Talk it over with Owen and Abigail."

"Okay I will, see you later?"

"Defiantly." He leans in and gives me a long, slow kiss.

I smile, then call Owen and Abigail into the room. "Hey."

"What do you need Saige?" Owen says a bit concerned.

"I wanted to talk about the Selection with you guys."

"Okay," Abigail says, continuing to chew her bubblegum.

"How would you feel if I took myself out of the competition?"

"I would be okay, but I am very curious why." Owen asks.

"I don't think I like Will anymore, I think I am in love with Thomas." Owen just smiles. "What?"

"I called it." He says, not breaking a smile.

"Huh?"

"I called it that you would fall in love with Thomas."

I just smile shyly.

"Wait, so you won't be a princess, but Thomas might be my brother in law?!?"

"Basically."

"Yay! When is the wedding? Can I get a pretty dress?"

"It won't be for quite awhile, but yes you will get a pretty dress."

"Hey Will. I am sorry but I won't be returning to the palace. I am afraid that part of my heart always belonged to my best friend back here, and the more I saw him the more of my heart he took. Part of me will always love you, but he just took more of my heart. I wish you the best in the selection, and hope you find someone who can give you unconditional love that I couldn't. If you were to ask me, I would marry Peyton, she would make such a good mother, has a great public presence, overly kind and sweet, and is very smart. Love you. Thanks for understanding."

"Thomas?" He turns around, and looks to me. "Do you think we could try us?"

He lights up, "So you are staying, for real?"

"For real."

He pulls me in, and pins me against the wall, kissing me. "Now that you are, I won't let you get away from me, ever, again."

"I wasn't planning on it."

I look down, and the few rows occupied by some of my coworkers, King Will and his parents, Daphne and Samantha, my old maids, and Thomas's family stand up, and turn to me. Abigail is crying. Owen is beaming, as he walks me down the aisle. And Thomas is smiling. It's my perfect little wedding I always imagined.

It's fairly basic, the one thing I splurged on was my dress. A pretty white ball gown, with a vail, and it's strapless. With pretty white peep toe pumps. I have only only three bridesmaids, Abigail, Blair and Queen Peyton. Yep, Queen Peyton. She became close with Will, after being upset that I left. I guess they bonded over me, then other things. I am ecstatic for them. I was able to attend their wedding a year ago, and was her maid of honor.

"Thomas, just a year ago I left everything to come back to you. I can't say I was thinking straight at the time, but I did make the right choice. Being away from you was hard, and being able to only see you for a brief period of time made me realize how much you meant to me. When nine year old Saige made an art project of her dream wedding, guess who was up their with her? It was you, and was always you. My dreams finally came true, in every way I wanted. I am so excited for our future together. I love you so much."

"Saige, almost two years ago I thought I lost you. Encouraging you to enter the selection, I couldn't believe I did it when you were called. But I think it tested our love. Looking back on how much I missed you, it's insane I didn't tell you how much I loved you. But I calmed my insanity, and here we are. Seventeen years ago I met the one who I would call my wife, and our parents called it. I can't wait to see what happens next. I love you."

"Do you, Saige Elizabeth take Thomas Ryker as your lawfully wedded husband?"

"I do."

"Do you, Thomas Ryker take Saige Elizabeth as your lawfully wedded wife?"

"I do."

"I now pronounce you husband and wife, you may now kiss your bride."

And he sure kisses me.

I stare out on to the sunset, taking in the peace. My eldest son Andrew is outside, playing baseball with his father. My next child, Addilyn, is sleeping upstairs. I pat my stomach, my baby bump fully noticeable by now. I am about six months in.

It's hard to think that seven years ago I married my best friend. Our son is six and our daughter is two. Andrew looks more like his father, with fawn sandy hair and green eyes, and then Addilyn looks more like me with platinum blonde hair, but Thomas's green eyes.

All my dreams came true, and my life is just how I want it. I became a nurse at a hospital thirty minutes away from here. Of course I am on break right now for the baby, but I work five days, ten hours a day. We have a babysitter that looks after the kids, Abigail. She looks after them after school and daycare. She graduated college a year ago, but doesn't know what she wants to do quiet yet. Abigail studied so she could be a nurse or a teacher. She lives up in our attic as a live in nanny, then works at a cafe during their school/daycare day. Abigail thinks she might move back to the east coast, after she figures out a job. Owen is over their, with his wife and son Dylan, who is four years old.

Thomas and I chose a beautiful house in California County, just like the one I wanted. It is vintage chic, big, and painted white. It overlooks the beach, and I want my kids to grow up here, then maybe move back to the east coast for high school or something. Then Thomas and I will go who knows where. But that's the good thing, we don't know yet.

For now, I am happy with my childhood happy ever after.
