Chapter 25

Kylie's POV:

"Okay babe. Go grab a drink or something. I'll help Jason out with this." Drew said, before he let go of your hand. "Okay." you answered and kissed his cheek, before heading off towards the snack table. You looked around for something nonalcoholic and wondered if Drew would drink tonight. You sighed when you couldn't find anything, so you turned around and bumped into someone. "Shit." you mumbled and looked at the guy. "I'm so sorry!" you outburst.

The guy looked angry, but his expression faded and turned into a smile when he saw you. "Hey, you're the girl from the cafe." He said, examining you. "Remember me? Christian? I took a picture of you and your friend." He said, trying to refresh your memory. "Oh!" you outburst and mentally face palmed yourself, for not remembering the guy. "Hi Christian. I'm Kylie." you said politely, and held out your hand. He shifted the beer bottle from his right hand, to his left one, and shook your hand. "Nice to meet you Kylie." You smiled at him and ran your hand through your hair. "Nice meeting you too Christian."

You stood there and chatted for a while with him. Apparently he was two years older than you were. But he didn't go to your school. Even if he would, you wouldn't had recognized him anyways. "But hey, I gotta go. I'm in need of water." You said, and tried to end the conversation. "Oh, you're not drinking tonight?" he asked. You shook your head. "I'm definitely not drinking tonight." you answered, and chuckled. "I'm shocked, I thought you were a party girl." He said and smiled at you, in a flirty way. You shook your head once again. "I'm not a party girl." You said. "But I'll see you around okay?"

He nodded his head and raised his bottle a bit. "See ya."

You walked into the house, and there were people everywhere. Almost everyone was holding a red cup, dancing, singing, talking. Doing anything really. You squeezed your way through the crowd, and made your way to the kitchen. You needed water. There wasn't that many people in the kitchen. But there was some guys, including Justin, who stood there, mixing drinks. Your whole body froze, and you doubted if you would go in there or not. But you needed water, because apparently that's the only alcohol free beverage in this house. You took a deep breath, and entered the kitchen. You tiptoed your way over to the sink. You didn't want him to notice you, and maybe, hopefully, he wouldn't.

When you reached the sink, you stood on your tiptoes, to reach the cabinet. In situations like this you hated being short. Although if you opened the cabinet, it would probably make some sort of sounds, that would make Justin notice you. So you figured that one of those plastic cups would do fine. You reached for the ones placed next to the sink, when someone took them before you did. "Hey!" you outburst, causing the person to look up.

Shit.

"Oh, hey Kylie."

You gulped and looked into Justin's eyes. Your speaking ability was blown away, and you couldn't say a word. "Hey is the word you're looking for." he said, and chuckled at you. You turned around to walk away, but he grabbed your hand, and stopped you from leaving. "Kylie. Stop." he said, and pulled you close to him.

"Let go, I don't want anything to do with you, let go!" you said, with your voice raised. "Sch." he said, and pressed his index finger against your lips, shushing you. You jerked your hand out of his grip. "Kylie, look." he mumbled and put his arm around your waist, pulling you closer to him, closer than before. He put his lips right next to your ear. "I'm sorry for what I did to you." he whispered, sending shivers down your spine.

He smirked when he felt you shiver. "Let's just be friends." he said, turning around. He grabbed a red cup and handed it too you. You took the cup out of his hand and walked to the sink. You turned the tap on and filled the glass with water. You took a sip of it, before Justin snatched the cup out of your hand.
