Chapter 11

Kylie's POV:

You sighed loudly as your alarm clock went off. "Shut up." you groaned, as you reached for your phone and pressed the snooze button. You turned in bed so you were facing your pillow, and you quickly fell back asleep. You snapped out of your sleep when your alarm went off again. You sat up and ran a hand through your messy hair. A yawn escaped your lips as you stretched. "What time is it?" you asked yourself, and grabbed your phone. You shut the alarm off and the white numbers on your screen said '06:30'. You hated Monday mornings.

You dragged the blanket off you and stood up. The sun was shining through your window, and it lit up the whole room. Your phone buzzed and it caused you to jump a little. "Drew ♡" lit up the screen and a smile instantly formed on your lips. You and Drew had been texting all weekend, and although you've only known each other for a couple of days, it felt like you've known each other forever. //Good morning Kyls, get ready for school!//

You smiled at the text. Last night you were getting to know each other better. And you asked each other questions, and Drew had asked you if you had a nickname. And your dad always calls you 'Kyls' and therefor Drew also started calling you that. You found out lots about him, that his middle name was Elias, that his favorite color is purple, that he really hates elevators, that he was a good driver and he promised you to give you a ride to school as soon as he got his license. And lots of other stuff.

He was an quite interesting person. You told him stuff too, that you're afraid of the dark, that cheating is the worst thing you know, that your favorite food is sushi, that you can't live without music, and other lame stuff. //Good morning to you too Drew// you chuckled at how that part rhymed. You hit sent and put your phone away. You changed into shorts and a white crochet top. You felt like your outfit wasn't complete, that something was missing. Your hair was boring and you felt like you wanted to do something with it. So you took out your curling iron and curled your hair. The curls turned out great, and you were happy with how your outfit looked.

Actually you had this really unique bohemian style, that made people turn their heads as you walked passed them. You liked dressing like that, and you didn't care if people didn't approve of that.

You put your phone in your pocket, and threw your backpack over your shoulder, before you went downstairs. "Morning." your dad said, as he heard you enter the kitchen. "Morning." you mumbled.

Your dad sat at the dinner table, with his computer. The light from the screen was reflecting in his eyes. And you could tell by the amount of cups and cans that were placed beside him, that he had been up all night, working.

"Dad you should really get some sleep.." He stopped for a minute and looked up at you. "Kylie, baby I've been drinking multiple cups of coffee and I've been drinking energy drinks. I can't sleep."

A sigh escaped your lips and you shrugged your shoulders. "What ever you say dad." you muttered. You opened the fridge and took out a box of fresh fruit. The night before you had sliced apples, pineapples, oranges, bananas, grapes, kiwis and strawberries for you to eat for breakfast. You had also made yourself a shake, made out of ice cream, ice, milk, raspberries and blueberries. You weren't one of those health freaks, but you wanted to enjoy a good first meal. And breakfast is the most important meal of the day. You took the shake and the box of fruit. You placed them on the table and took out a fork. "Can I have some?" your dad asked, looking at the fruit salad. You nodded your head. "Yeah." you said and pushed the box in his direction. He reached for a fork and put it in one of the pineapple slices. "Mhm, that was good." he said, enjoying the taste of it. "I know, now let me eat it." you laughed, and took back the box.
