Sunshine and Jaebutt

JB'S P.O.V:

Chenle had woken from his nap about an hour ago and we were all crying together. Kyung and I were trying to stay positive and were currently trying to calm the young boy down. We were interrupted when Youngjae's nurse burst through the double doors of the hospital waiting room.

"WHAT'S THE NEWS NURSE?!"  I practically screamed to the poor woman who was still crying as she was Youngjae's personal nurse.

"He's...alive. His vitals are all stable and in a couple of weeks he will be fully recovered. If you go in one at a time, you can all visit him, but keep it short because he needs to rest soon. Thank you."

Kyung and I let Chenle go in first, not like we had much of a choice as the poor boy charged through the doors as soon as we were told of the news of his sick brother. After Kyung had also visited his best friend, it was now my turn. I walked in hesitantly, made sure to stop my tears, before I entered the door to his room. I walked in to find the sunshine had passed out on the bed; of course, he was worn out. I still had to see him. I approached the bed and sat down careful not to wake him up. I didn't care if he couldn't hear me and wouldn't respond, I needed to talk to him.

Youngjae's P.O.V

I was so happy to see my brothers, actually overjoyed. But there was still one person left, Jaebum. After 5 minutes, I figured he wasn't coming; I was so worn out from the operation so I closed my eyes just to rest them. As I was doing so I heard footsteps approach me, I felt the weight of someone on my bed as it sloped to their side. I knew it was Jaebum.

"Hey Youngjae, it's so good to see you" he said through sniffles. "I know you're asleep but I just had to see you. I bought little Jaebutt for you."

He put the bear we had built together in between my chest and my arms so I was holding it. I realised I had never heard the voice message Jaebutt had recorded for me.

"There you go, don't you two look cute together." I could feel the happiness his voice as he placed the bear in my arms. "I have something to tell you Youngjae, it's now or never..."

Before JB could continue I accidentally squeezed the bear out of excitement and it spoke in JB's voice "Joahae"

I opened my eyes and was faced by a very shocked JB, his face was bright red.

"So this is what you wanted to tell me? Ahah" I awkwardly chuckled at the older boy.

"YoungJae it's so good to see you! I thought I'd lost you forever."

The older boy exclaimed. I pulled him in for a tight hug.

"I'm so happy to see you too Jaebum! Um...about that voice message..."

Before I could finish my sentence my nurse came in and said it was time for Jaebum to go so that I could rest as my body was still very weak. With a smile and a wave Jaebum left and I was left alone with little Jaebutt. I cannot tell you how many times I squeezed that damn bear to hear Jb's sweet voice. I went to sleep that night, happiness raining over me, for the first time I believed that everything was going to be okay.
