Zeke's POV

After practice I went over to Tripp's place.

"So what did you need help with?" I asked as I walked into the vaguely familiar house. I had been here only once before, and as I was with my mate I was a little preoccupied to say the least.

"Well Delilah might have told you that Maddie moved out of her parents place yesterday."

I nodded, Delilah had in fact called me right after she help Maddie get everything to her grandparents house.

"Well I just figured it was time for me to move into my own house as well."

"Why?" I asked.

He shrugged, "well I figured now that Mads and I are officially together we might need some privacy from time to time without having to explain anything to anyone." He said, "also I know Evie's been pressuring David to get married already, and maybe with me gone it will push him toward that direction."

It made sense, of course they would want a place they could escape to and call their own.

"So anyways I need your help with the closet." He said as he gestured up stairs. "If Maddie will be coming over I think she should have some stuff here and my closet is kinda boring so I went out and got some shelving units that we are going to install as well as something called a vanity table."

"The thing for make up?" I asked, I really only knew what it was because when I was little I would sit and watch my mom put her make-up on.

"Yeah, it was Evie's idea, she said it's for makeup and hair stuff and perfume, I don't know, I just told the woman at the store what it was called and she rang me up, now I just have to put it together."

"That's cool," I said. "I wish I had my own place."

"You're more than welcome to move in bro."

I chuckled, "my parents would freak!"

We went upstairs and I offered to take a swing at putting the vanity table together since, truth be told, I've never used an electric power tool before, and the closet hardware required a drill.

We listened to some music and a in less than an hour I was finished and noticed I had missed a call.

"I'll be back, Lilah called."

He nodded his head and I left the room.

Now that I wasn't distracted I took in Tripp's house, it was actually pretty nice and very up to date considering it use to be his parents place. I made my way out to the back yard and called my girlfriend back.

"Hey gorgeous, you called?" I asked with a wide grin.

"Hey, so I have to talk to you, like right now."

My smile fell away as I heard the urgency in her voice.

"What's up?" I asked.

"It has to be done in person, where are you?" She asked.

"I'm at Tripp's."

"Ok, perfect, stay there I'm on my way."

She hung up before I could ask what was going on.

When I walked back inside I found Tripp walking into the kitchen. He walked straight to the stove and grabbed a tea pot.

"Everything okay?" He asked as he filled the pot with water and then started the stove.

"Yeah, well I'm not sure really."

He looked at me as he grabbed a box of teas from the cabinet.
