Loose Ends

Zeke's POV

'Headed to the beach HMU if you wanna come.'

After I updated my Facebook status I logged off my computer, I still hoped that Delilah would see all of my posts and try and reach out to me.

In a matter of minutes my phone started beeping with Facebook notifications from different people who had commented, and out of all of them Delilah wasn't one of them.

Her family however had decided to join me.

When I reached the beach house all of my friends were already there; Maddie, Gio, Tripp, & Derek.

"Any word?" I asked Derek when we were alone.

He sighed "she's suppose to be coming into town for Maddie's first phase." He admitted. "Look, I know it's not really my business or anything..but if you ask me you had better get that last date with Maddie over and done with, if I know my sister she won't be too happy that you've prolonged it."

"And what if I don't care what she thinks!" I bit out sourly.

Derek simply shrugged, "it's your life and that's your choice bro."

I knew he was just trying to help and he was also right about the whole Maddie thing I was just being dick because Delilah hasn't answered me back.

I got into the water with everyone else and quickly singled out Maddie.

"Oh hey Zeke, I feel like I haven't talked to you in forever."

"Yeah, so Maddie I was wondering if you still wanted to go on our date." I said.

Her eyes lit up and a huge smile broke out on her face.

"Really?" She asked. "You still want to go out with me?"

"Of course." I said a little confused, had she forgotten we still had one more date?

"Wow." She nearly squeaked, "ok how about tomorrow?"

"Sounds great, i'll pick you up around noon so we can have a good amount of time together before your party." I offered politely. Maddie is still my friend I want to make sure I didn't hurt her feelings or anything like that, especially right before her party.

The rest of the day was a little better. I had gotten that last obstacle taken care of and tomorrow I would finally get to see Delilah again.

Maddie's POV

I came to the beach against my parents wishes, they hadn't asked me not to come but lately they've seemed to try and keep me away from Zeke.

I went to his party and unfortunately I hadn't gotten to spend any time with him that whole night, so when he showed up today at the beach it was the first time we had seen each other since his first phase.

As he hugged me I silently prayed that he would find out I was his mate. Of course he couldn't tell me if he was anyways.

When he released me he smiled at me but then went and sat down with Derek. I went into the water with my brother and Tripp.

A hug and a smile, nothing new there.

Soon enough Zeke joined us, he swam over to me and I struck up a conversation with him.

"Yeah, so Maddie I was wondering if you still wanted to go on our date." He said.

A huge smile stretched across my face, Zeke had just asked me out. I knew we still had one more date that we had agreed upon but I assumed after he phased he would find his mate and the dates would be done. But now he's here asking me out, that can obviously only mean that I am his mate after all, what else could it mean?

"Really?" I asked. "You still want to go out with me?"

"Of course." He said a little confused.

"Wow, ok." I squealed, now I was really looking forward to tomorrow for confirmation on my thoughts. "How about tomorrow?"

"Sounds great, i'll pick you up around noon so we can have a good amount of time together before your party."

I am Zeke Parker's mate.

I can't wait to tell Delilah she was wrong about him, also maybe Tripp will stop asking me out.

I looked over at Tripp who was talking to my brother, he saw me looking at him and smiled, I wonder how Zeke would feel if he found out that Tripp has been constantly asking me out behind Zeke's back.
