Chapter 2 ~ "You're such a Seaweed Brain!"

Annabeth Chase

When we went to help the new camper, London, I didn't expect all this to happen. I quickly finished off a hellhound and a dracane, then turned to look at Percy, who was fighting what seemed to be the last monster.

He and the snake lady slashed and exchanged blows. He blocked most of hers, managing to get in a few of his own.

I caught him staring at me and couldn't  help but smile, he was such a Seaweed Brain.

The dracane cut his arm and he went back to his battle. The snake lady must have been training or something, because she was pretty good.

Soon enough, he had the dracane on the ground, his sword at her throat.

I saw a dracane sneaking up behind him, so now they were smart and good at fighting? Something was up.

"Percy, watch out!" I yelled at him.

He stabbed the snake lady under him before turning around. Right. Into. A. Sword.

So now, my boyfriend had a golden sword sticking out of his chest. What a day.

He muttered something that sounded like "Oops" and collapsed. I glared at the snake lady, if looks could kill, she'd be dead.

I stabbed her with my drakon bone sword and ran over to Percy.

There was a small pool of blood around his chest and his eyes were glazed.

"Percy!" I yelled, "You are such a Seaweed Brain! Why did you turn around into that sword!"

He didn't respond. That worried me.

I knelt beside him, shaking his shoulder, "Percy, not funny!" He still didn't respond.

I sighed, blinking away tears. I gently lifted Percy up, careful not to move the sword, in hope he was still alive, though in my heart I knew he was gone.

I dragged my boyfriend across the border of Camp Half-Blood.

Nico ran up to me as I crossed, "Annabeth! What happened? I felt-" He stopped short seeing Percy. The son of Hades' eyes widened.

Nico backed up a step, "N-No." He stuttered. I nodded sadly, "I need to go Nico, see you later." I told him.

I faintly heard Will Solace, Son of Apollo, talking to Nico. I wanted to race back and talk to Will, ask him if he could heal Percy, but I didn't, I knew he was gone.

I went up the steps and into the Big House, not stopping to knock. "Chiron?" I called into the empty room.

"In here child." Chiron's voice replied. I walked into his office, still dragging Percy along.

I see the girl we helped sitting in a chair across from Chiron. Her eyes were wide, everything had obviously just been explained.

Chiron gasped when he saw the body in my hands. It's probably not everyday you see a girl carrying her dead boyfriend.

The girl looked at me, her blue-gray eyes were filled with horror, staring at Percy.

I shifted my weight, struggling to keep tears out of my eyes. "Well? Chiron, we need a shroud for Percy Jackson, Son of Poseidon."

Athena seemed to think that was a good moment to claim her child. A gray owl blazed over the girl's, my new sister's head.

Chiron nodded, "Percy Jackson died a heroic death, saving London White, daughter of Athena. He will be remembered for all the things he's done."

London looked at the body in my arms, "He died for me. I wish there was a way I could repay him. He didn't deserve to die, Chiron made him sound like a great hero, I'm sorry."

I smiled at my sister, feeling tears rolling down my cheeks, "Show us that it was worth it. Be the best daughter of Athena you can be."

Chiron took Percy's body from my arms and I knew it was time to accept that my Seaweed Brain was officially gone. "Goodbye Percy, I love you."

I could've sworn I heard Percy's voice say, "I love you too, Annabeth. We'll see each other again. One day."

So London White is one of my demigod OCs, do you guys mind me using her a bit? I usually don't like the PJO fanfics with a bunch of OC stuff, so please tell me if I use an OC too much.

I apologize for these first few chapters, they are kinda bad.

Anyway, hope you enjoyed this chapter!
