There's more to it all.

It's not just about Sirius or his brother or Kobe.

It's about stability and sanity and loving yourself before you can love others.

Because when you're so toxic towards yourself, it pushes others away inevitably.

And Remus knew that. He's known that for a while. He's just been pretending for far too long about his own happiness.

He doesn't want to leave Sirius forever, but he doesn't want to keep him waiting. It just isn't fair.

Detaching is the most unselfish thing Remus could do in this situation, and he unfortunately has to detract more than just Sirius. James and Peter have to go, and, in turn, Mar and Lily. Then the friends attached to those friends. The cycle continues until he has no one but his bedroom walls.

Hello

: Hi
How are you? :

Sad

: Again? :

Yes, again.

: More than yesterday? :

Well I don't know

: Have you done the exercise? :

No

: Right then.
How was your day? :

Bland.

: What did you eat? :

I didn't.

: R, you can't keep on like this if you want him back. :

I don't just want him back. If I wanted him back I could have him back.
I want to be happy and you're not really helping much.

: Then get real help maybe. :

Remus sighs. These text therapists are no good.
