After receiving a bath and a bit of a pampering session from Anna and Lauren, you were dressed in the finest (f/c) dress. It was long, as was usual for the fashion at the time, and hugged your curves due to the built in corset in the bodice. The sleeves went down to your wrists and had a small amount of lace at the end, just as the neckline and the bottom of the skirt of the dress had. You admired how beautiful the dress was, prancing around your new chambers, which earned you a few giggles from Lauren and a rather frazzled Anna when the two attempted to dry and do up your hair. You eventually allowed them to do so after about an hour of running around your room with them chasing you. They sat you down in front of a vanity and dried your hair before messing around with it to make it look presentable. You smiled the entire time.
Once your hair was finished, your two maids gave you a gorgeous necklace to add just a bit of sparkle to your outfit. Then the three of you waited until the time supper was meant to be served. The room held an awkward silence for awhile before you decided to make small talk with the two maids. You learned their personalities very quickly. Lauren was bubbly all of the time and always giggling at something or causing trouble for Anna. Anna was strict and reserved and often became irritated with Lauren. You had also found out that the two had been roommates prior to being hired as maids for the royal family. How well the two of them got along surprised you greatly. Even with them being roommates, you weren't sure it was even possible for two people so different to get along so well. You decided not to question the friendship the two females had though.
The time you spent with your maids eventually came to an end as a know on the door sounded. Anna answered it and revealed a guard. He announced that five o'clock was approaching. The dark haired woman nodded and thanked him for alerting them of the nearing hour. She then motioned for you and Lauren to come with her so that you could be in the dining hall on time. You got up from the lounge sofa you had been laying on and walked up to the maids since Lauren had gotten up much quicker than you had. They allowed you to step out of the room first before joining you in the corridor. The two women then led you to the dining hall and let you in before taking their leave to help prepare dinner with the cooks.
Inside at the long rectangular dining table sat Rema, Romulus, Florentina, and two other men who you presumed were Luciano's brother, Flavio, and his father, Giovanni. You curtsied upon approaching them and took a seat next to Florentina, who sat next to Rema. Giovanni and Flavio sat across from them since Romulus was seated at the head of the table. You smiled kindly as your fiancé's mother gave you a side hug.
"Welcome to the family cara!" she said excitedly.
"Thank you, Florentina," you said back politely.
"Prego!"
She then introduced you to her husband and eldest son. You exchanged pleasantries with them as you waited for Luciano's arrival and made small talk to pass the few minutes left until five o'clock. There was only a minute left when Luciano finally decided to join his family for supper. He looked gloomy and sleep deprived. He hadn't even noticed your presence yet as he sat down next to his older brother and across from you. His gaze was settled down on the table. Luciano seemed to be refusing to look at any of his family members. Rema cleared her throat.
"Luciano, you're being rather rude to our guest," she said.
He sighed and picked up his head to see who this guest was. His eyes met with yours and widened. Luciano was out of his seat quicker than Lauren had gotten up earlier. He went over to your side of the table and lifted you out of your seat, spinning you around in a circle in excitement. When he set you down, he kissed you softly, caressing your face with one hand as his other settled on your waist. You kissed back, wrapping your arms around his neck. All of his family, except for Romulus, smiled at the happy reunion of two lovers. The two of you broke apart after a short while and went back to your seats. Romulus was scowling again, obviously still upset that he couldn't have you executed because of his wife. The two of you were silent as supper was brought in by maids and butlers. Luciano hadn't questioned why you were still alive. He didn't care why more so. He was just grateful that you were able to be by his side now.
Supper was peaceful, as was dessert. Romulus kept to himself except for the occasional hushed talk with Rema. You and Luciano made eye contact often and conversed with Florentina, Rema, Giovanni, and Flavio. Once the plates from dessert was cleared, everyone got up to go their separate ways. Flavio left to go back to his room, Rema and Romulus went to their own, Florentina and Giovanni went for a stroll in the garden, and Luciano and you went to visit the library.
