Lauren and Anna led you through the corridors to the dining hall. Halfway there, the three of your crossed paths with Luciano and his two personal butlers, Sergei and Terran. The two duos of butlers and maids took the lead, allowing the prince and you to walk behind them in somewhat privacy. Luciano linked arms with you and gave you a loving kiss, which you returned eagerly. The walk continued on in silence until the group reaching the dining hall. Sergei and Terran opened the doors and allowed you and Luciano to walk in first before Anna and Lauren. The two then walked in and closed the doors before heading off to the kitchen with your maids to help with breakfast.
You both took your seats across from one another as everyone else was sitting in the same formation from supper the previous night. Florentina, Rema, and Flavio gave you soft, cheery smiles while Romulus and Giovanni seemed out of it. You decided to not bother the two elder males until everyone had eaten, but you did make small talk with Rema and Florentina while Flavio did the same with his younger brother.
"The two of you gave everyone quite the scare this morning," Rema said with a playful tone to her voice.
"Sorry," you said with a sheepish grin as your rubbed the back of your neck. "We kind of fell asleep reading with each other last night and never got back to our rooms."
"It's alright, cara," Florentina spoke. "At least someone knew where the two of you were so we wouldn't have to put out lost person posters."
"If you say so Florentina."
"I do say so. Now, I believe I hear breakfast being wheeled in, so let's save the rest of our potential discussions for after breakfast, yeah?"
"Sounds good to me."
Everyone grew silent as breakfast arrived. That morning it was a regular glass of blood, but it was accompanied by a small, red cake looking item. The chef was questioned and mentioned that it had been Oliver who had figured out how to quickly congeal blood and give it texture to resemble human foods. Rema seemed delighted by this, and you were ecstatic. Breakfast then resumed peacefully as everyone enjoyed the new way to eat blood. Luciano made eye contact with you every so often throughout the meal, giving you suggestive and sexy glances. You tried to keep your composure but soon grew flustered when Romulus cleared his throat, him having noticed what was transpiring between the two of you.
You blushed brightly. Luciano only smirked, showing no shame in what he had been doing. Rema was smirking as well, Florentina was giggling, and Giovanni and Flavio were slightly confused. The maids and bulters came back in silently and cleared away the dishes before leaving again to have them cleaned. Florentina folded her hands in her lap before directing her attention to her husband.
"Say, Giovanni?"
"Sì, amore mio?"
"We're having tea in the garden today, correct?"
"Mhm. Did you want to change our plans at all, maybe do something else?"
"I was thinking we could invite Luciano and our future daughter-in-law. You know, so we can both get to know her better, especially you."
Giovanni smiled and nodded. "I think that would be enjoyable." He turned to look from Luciano to you. "What do you two love birds say? Would you like to join us for some tea infused blood for an hour or two in the garden this evening?"
Luciano looked to you. "Do you want to?" he thought to you.
"I think it'd be fun. After all, I don't really know your father that well, but he seems like a nice man," you thought back.
"He is. I assure you."
"I have no doubt he is."
"We'll join you," Luciano said aloud to his parents. He then looked to his grandmother.
Rema shook her head. "Your nonno and I have a meeting this evening with some of the farmers from the neighboring towns."
Luciano looked to Flavio next despite not really liking the blond male. He also shook his head. "I have a group of courtesans coming to be fitted for new uniforms."
The dark auburn haired male sighed. "I guess it will just be the four of us then."
"That's okay. Perhaps some other time all of us could get together for tea," Florentina suggested.
You could it hurt her to say "all of us" considering she gave a small glare in Romulus' direction when she said it.
"Anyway, I need to have a talk with the maids then about ordering more plates before the engagement announcement and ball. I'll see you all later at some point. Come along Giovanni. I want your input on it."
"Sì cara."
Giovanni and Florentina got up and walked off to find the maids they were going to put in charge of buying the dishes. Rema then got up along with Romulus and Flavio so they could prepare for their meetings. That left just you and Luciano in the dining hall, which the two of you then exited in favor of the library until you would meet with his parents for tea.
