Upon reaching the castle, as the guards said, you were escorted to a room in the West Wing by the same two maids from the other night. They let you in and told you to get settled in and wait there for them to retrieve you later that night. You sighed and placed the chest down on the floor by the door and took in the room's layout. It was large, spacious, and dimly lit by a large chandelier of candles. At the right wall was a queen sized bed with four bed posts covered in white sheets with a (f/c) canopy and drapes. On either side were bedside tables with candle holders on both, either of the candles not being lit. On the other side of the room red curtains with darker red patterns made on them hung from rods attached to the walls above two large windows. In front of one of the curtain sets was an oak writing desk with an ink will and feather pen was well as a stack of parchment paper. A large wardrobe sat against the door side wall. In the center of the room were red lounge sofas with a single armrest. Between the two was a rug of vibrant colors. A fire place sat off to the side in one of the walls, wood stacked inside to light when it was needed. Above the fireplace's mantle was empty, leaving you various possibilities to decorate should you not be executed.

You decided to put up the pictures of you, your family, and friends on the mantle to make the area look less blank and to give the room a more homey feel to it. Afterwards, you took out the clothing you packed and placed them in the wardrobe. You then sat down on one of the lounge sofas and folded your hands in your lap. There wasn't much to do in the room you had been put in, so you twiddled your thumbs and looked at the carpet. It had stained glass like patterns on it, but it looked soft. So, you had to touch it. You leaned down and put a hand on the floor to test your assumption. It was indeed soft, very soft. You smiled slightly before there was a knock on the door. Standing up quickly, you turned to face the doors.

        "Come in," you said.

The two maids opened the doors and motioned for you to follow them. You nodded and walked with them out of the room and down the halls to the throne room. They let you in and closed the doors behind you, having to wait outside in the hall with the guards. You gulped as you gazed towards the thrones. Sat on the large of the two was Romulus with Rema sitting next to him in the smaller one.

"Come closer dear," said Rema kindly. She seemed in a much better mood from the last time you saw her.

Not wanting to upset her, you stepped forward a few paces. She gave you a "really" look and waved you to go all the way up to the thrones. You did as she motioned and stopped at the bottom step. After giving a curtsy, you straightened your posture.

        "Your Majesties," you greeted.

"(Y/n), I understand that you and our grandson, Luciano, are very much in love with one another. Is that true?" Rema asked as Romulus scowled off to the side with his chin resting on his hand, his elbow propped up on the arm of his throne.

        "Yes, Your Majesty."

"And you loved each other enough to sin with one another?"

        "Yes, Your Majesty..."

"Luciano has explained to me that he had lured you into his bed instead of your luring him to let you into it, is this also true?"

"Yes, Your Majesty. He had summoned me to his chambers that night and told me that he couldn't hold back only longer on his feelings. He told me that he'd be willing to sin to be with me because His Majesty the King said on the night I attended the ball that the two of us were not permitted to marry."

Rema looked to Romulus surprised and backhanded a hit to his upper chest. Said man looked surprised back at her.

        "What was that for?!"

"For you telling the two they couldn't marry! None of this would have happened had you said they could marry! Her parents are probably worried sick about her, and now I have to write an apology letter for the confusion you've caused for them!"

Rema huffed and crossed her arms. Sometimes, she really hated her husband. Romulus sent you a harsh glare before he pulled his wife from her throne and into his lap. He gave her a tender kiss, something he'd usually only give her in private. The blond female melted into the unexpected kiss and kissed her husband back. You shifted awkwardly in place as you looked away to give two two rulers some form of privacy. When they broke the kiss, Rema looked at you sheepishly.

"Sorry you had to see that dear... I'm sure no one wants to see two old people nearly going at each other," she apologized.

"Honestly, if I didn't know how old the two of you actually were, I'd mistake you for young adults..." you muttered.

Rema laughed in good nature. "I'm flattered. Now, to finish why I called you here. You will not be executed, but you will live here in the castle in your own chamber. The maids who have been escorting you around, Anna and Lauren, will be assigned to you as your personal maids. They are both still in training, so do forgive them if they mess up on anything. You may go back to your room when you're ready, but you may not see Luciano until later at supper, which will be at five in the morning. Please, don't be late as you living in the castle and you being now permitted to marry him are a surprise that I'm sure he'll be over joyed to have."

You smiled brightly at her and curtsied again. "Thank you, Your Majesties! Thank you very much!"

"You're welcome dear. I'd start getting ready though. You want to look presentable for your fiancé, don't you?"

You nodded with a large smile before giving one last curtsy and walking out of the room. Your maids waited for outside and escorted you back to your room. You continued to smile to yourself, happy that you wouldn't die and were to marry the man you love.
