Maddy's POV
After school ended, I changed out of my original outfit, which involved heels, and changed into something more manageable. I met Jason, Billy, and my sister in the parking lot, we decided to take my car, because both Billy and Jason only had bikes, and my sister drives a sudan, my jeep would be the best option for getting into the quarry. After everyone got in my car, Jason sat in the passenger seat, while Kim and Billy sat in the back, we left school and headed to the quarry. While driving on the way, we saw a huge scene of police cars. They had found Billy's van, the van looked horrible, every inch if the car was destroyed, I still don't see how we survived. The police were having the van get towed, I could see the officer writing stuff down as they loaded the van. We looked at each other, "let's just keep going" I said, Jason gave me a nod, and I drove on. I parked the car in a somewhat well-hidden area, behind some trees some huge boulders, everyone else had already started walking to the quarry, but Jason stayed behind.
We followed the others, we didn't talk, we just walked in a comfortable silence, "Guys! Look!" Kim shouted, Jason and I jogged up to where Kim and Billy already stood. "It's that guy from yesterday" Kim stated, she was right, he was swinging a pick axe wildly, it looked like he was trying to chip away at some rock. "Find anything interesting!" Jason shouted, the guy noticed he wasn't alone, he stopped what he was doing, then looked up. "If I do, I'm keeping it" he shouted back to us, I couldn't help, but laugh at what he said. "We know why you're here!" I shouted to him, "oh ya?" he yelled back, "you guys wake up and jump over a house?" he asked. "Yeah!" Billy shouted, we all looked at him, why didn't he mention that earlier, "Kindda... What?... No... we are different, alright! Everything's different!" Billy stuttered out. The guy went back to shifting through the rocks, "you're Zack, right?" Kim shouted, I turned to her, "wait! You know him?" I asked, she only nodded, not really looking me in the eyes.
"Yup!" Zack answered Kim, "you still go to Angel Grove?" Jason jokingly asked Zack, we heard Zack say 'sometimes' which made us all chuckle, how am I the only one who doesn't know who this kid is, even Jason knows who he is. Zack turned back to us, "the other girl was here too, about an hour ago" he told us, "you mean that girl right there" Billy shouted, he was pointing up. Zack turned around, following Billy's finger, we all looked to, and noticed the girl from last night. It looked like she was hiking, Jason cupped his hands around his mouth, "Hey!" he shouted, "come on down! We can solve this together!" Jason finished. As soon as Jason finished, the girl turned and sprinted away, she climbed up the side of a cliff, at an unhuman speed. "Wow!" I said, I saw Zack start sprinting after her, so I made the decision to follow, "oh screw this" I said, then backed up. I stopped, to look at the distance of the jump, then without fear, I went into a full sprint, "No! No! No!" I heard Jason yell, he tried to stop me, but I didn't listen. I jumped off the boulder we were standing on, and went flying into the air, I flailed my arms around, not used to this sensation of almost flying, my feet hit a rock, which I pushed off of, and then I hit the ground.
